Well, we came back to Madison, Wisconsin, for the ARCA National Series race weekend!

We unloaded with some pretty good speed, but unfortunately had to change a transmission after finding a leaking seal. The guys worked hard and got it changed out just in time for qualifying, where we were able to put it P9!

In the race, we were running around P8 and feeling pretty good. Unfortunately, a little over halfway through, our alternator started going bad, which ultimately took us out of the race. Definitely not the result we were looking for, but that’s racing!

We’re still learning every time we hit the track, and I’m looking forward to taking what we learned this weekend and coming back even stronger for the next one. Huge thank you to everyone who makes these weekends possible! Cook Racing Technologies David Mayhew Steve McGowan.

Headed back north to Evergreen Speedway for the Summer Showdown! 🏁

Unfortunately, it didn’t go quite as well as we wanted. We had a couple days of practice and were just a little off the whole time. Come Saturday, we qualified P14—not where we wanted to be and definitely lacking some speed.

After 200 laps, though, we were able to fight our way forward and bring home a P9! Not a horrible weekend at all. We learned a ton, had a great time, and now we know what we need to work on.

We were just a little bit off this time, but we’ll be back better next year!

Back at Colorado National Speedway this weekend in the Pro Late Model, and it feels great to finally finish a race! We had good speed all weekend, qualifying P7 and rolling into the feature with confidence.

The race stayed mostly green with only a few cautions, so it went by fast. We struggled a bit with forward drive throughout the race, but we kept digging and were able to bring home a solid P4 finish.

Overall, it was a really good weekend. We learned a lot and have a few things to work on to make the car even better for the next race.

A huge thank you to all of my crew guys for all of your hard work and support. I couldn’t do this without you. On to the next one! Mcgowen keen David Mayhew Jeff Salters Randy Wesson Mark Gustason

This weekend had plenty of ups and downs, but that’s all part of the learning process. We started off practice pretty slow, just getting comfortable with the road course and learning the ARCA car. We qualified P12, so we knew we had our work cut out for us.

During the first half of the race, I worked my way up to P8 and was feeling really good. Unfortunately, I missed a shift, which caused some wheel hop and set us back. After the break, we reset, regrouped, and made the best of it, ultimately bringing it home in P12.

Overall, it was a good day. We made some mistakes, learned a ton, and most importantly, had a lot of fun doing it. Every lap was a learning experience, and I’m leaving this weekend with more confidence and valuable experience.

Huge thank you to everyone at Cook Racing Technologies for all the hard work and for giving me the opportunity to be out here doing what I love. On to the next one! MMI Mark Gustason David Mayhew

Well, it was good until it wasn’t.

We had speed all day, qualified P2, and felt really confident heading into the race. The car was strong, and we were pacing the leader early on. A caution came out just 18 laps in for Kyle Busch, and not long after the restart, we got caught up in someone else’s incident, bringing our night to an unfortunate early end.

That’s racing sometimes. While the result wasn’t what we were hoping for, there’s nothing to hang our heads about. The speed was there, the team brought a great car, and there are plenty of positives to take away from the weekend.

We’ll regroup, learn from it, and come back even stronger at the next race.

A huge thank you to everyone on the MMi crew for all the hard work, dedication, and support that makes this possible. We couldn’t do it without you. On to the next one. MMI David Mayhew Randy Wesson Mark Gustason Keen Jeff Salters Derek Thorn

Well, another one in the books. Overall, it was a pretty solid night. We qualified P2 and ran in 2nd all the way until lap 75 when a caution came out, and unfortunately we made a huge mistake that sent us to the rear. From there, we put our heads down and charged back up to P3.

Nothing to hang our heads about we showed we had speed, just need to clean up a few things and keep learning. Huge thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this point. I’m beyond grateful for all the support from my team, family, sponsors, and everyone behind me. We’ll keep pushing and come back even stronger next time. What a weekend at Colorado National Speedway! Friday started off with us chasing short-run speed, but our long-run speed was strong, so we kept making small adjustments. By Saturday, the car felt great, and we decided not to change a thing. We qualified P6, worked our way up to P4 by halfway, and with 24 laps to go, we took the lead and never looked back. Ending the weekend in Victory Lane was an incredible feeling!
