Stevie wasn’t lacking commitment.

He never cut corners or made excuses.

He was putting in the work and getting almost nothing back for it because the work wasn’t targeted at the right things.

That’s the difference between effort and the right effort.

Between training hard and training with a structure that’s built specifically around you, your injuries, your schedule, and what jiu-jitsu actually demands of your body.

A year of doing it alone produced 5% progress.

A month with the right structure produced 4X that.

He hasn’t missed a session in 7 months.

His hips, which he described as “jammed beyond what felt fixable”, are night and day.

That’s what the right plan does.

Dean dominates and submits an IBJJF world champion to take gold at the UFC opens at 51 years old.

Guy is an absolute superstar and an inspiration to us all!

And Jonny takes bronze after some time out to focus on his dissertation 🙏

Both guys have come through our coaching process and are now coaches inside our team helping other grapplers achieve heights they never thought possible!

Was great to have friend and client Damon Cart | Life Coach, NLP & Self-Concept fly in from Santa Cruz to watch the guys compete and also film a podcast together and testimonial about the success he’s achieved on the team.

It’s been an unbelievable weekend!

The thing that makes people nervous about loading a weak joint is understandable.

Every instinct says protect it. Rest it. Don’t push it.

Those instincts are wrong.

Tendons and ligaments don’t heal through rest.

They adapt through progressive load.

Get stronger when you demand strength from them in a controlled environment, at a controlled pace, through the specific ranges of motion that the sport demands.

The baby weights and banded exercises keep you comfortable.

They feel like you’re doing something.

But you’re doing f**k all because they don’t build the structural resilience to handle someone shooting a double leg on you at full pace.

My program does.

The goal isn’t to get you moving again.

It’s to get you unreasonably strong in exactly the right places

The travelling grappler’s default:

Treat every trip as an interruption to training rather than part of it.

Come back. Catch up. Leave again. Fall behind. Repeat.

It doesn’t have to work that way.

The guys on this team who spend half their lives in airport lounges and hotel rooms are training despite that.

This program is built to function in the real world, not an ideal one.

If you travel a lot, and that was the reason you didn’t message til now…

No need to put it off

Consistency on the road isn’t a willpower problem.

It’s not like you don’t WANT to train.

But it’s hard, in an unfamiliar place.

And when your program isn’t specific enough…

Or it requires equipment you don’t have, a gym you can’t get to, or a block of time that keeps getting eaten…

The default is to skip it and catch up later.

Later becomes never.

Success here is about clear and flexible programming.

One that can survive enough regular travel commitments.

With ZERO ambiguity about what to do or how to do it.

It’s what every travelling grappler on this team is running.

If you’re tired of the catch-up cycle, DM me the word “Strong”.

Let’s make a plan for you

08/09/2026

Your game shrinks gradually. That’s what makes it easy to miss.

First, it’s one position you stop going for.
Then it’s a training partner you avoid.
Then it’s a competition you don’t enter.
Then it’s an entire session you sit out.

None of it feels like a big deal in the moment.

But over months and years, you end up with a version of jiu-jitsu that barely resembles the one you fell in love with.

It doesn’t have to go that way.

The body that’s forcing you to play small can be fixed.

Not managed, not worked around. FIXED.

And when it is, you get YOUR game back.

08/08/2026

Guys who travel constantly tell me:

“I want to sort this out, but my schedule is all over the place.”

But if that’s your life (and it’s not likely to change any time soon), the program you choose has to work around it.

Every person on this team with a complicated travel schedule is training consistently, fixing their injuries, and making progress.

So if you’re on the road constantly and you’ve been using that as a reason to put this off...

DM me the word “Strong”. It’s WAY more manageable than you think.

A 45-minute warm-up is a symptom.

It means your body doesn’t have the structural resilience to just... start.

You’re trying to stretch, activate, and mobilise your way into readiness.

But that’s not a solution. It’s a workaround at best.

Don’t let your warm up eat into your training time.

08/04/2026

The “I’m too old” excuse is the most damaging belief grapplers have.

It gives you permission to accept less.

And EXPECT less from your body than it’s actually capable of.

But the human body responds to the right stimulus at ANY age.

That’s not theory, it’s what I experience on a daily basis inside my business…

I see it every single week.

The grapplers on this team in their 40s, 50s, even 60s...

Are moving better now than they did a decade ago.

Because they’re finally addressing the ACTUAL problems.

08/03/2026

If your goal is just to “train consistently without pain”...

You’ve already accepted way less than you’re capable of.

I don’t consider that a goal… That’s the price of admission.

Your body SHOULD be able to train consistently.

That’s the starting point. Not the finish line.

Every grappler on this team came in with that same modest goal.

And within a few months, the goal shifted.

Because once the body works properly...

The ceiling lifts in ways they didn’t expect.

If “consistent training” feels like a stretch right now...

I’m in my DMs.
