You made a promise to yourself in January 2026. 💚
And here we are in the first week of May and maybe things don’t look the way you pictured them four months ago. That’s okay. You are allowed to still be figuring it out.
Somewhere between winter resolutions and spring reality, a lot of us stopped being kind to ourselves. We traded self-compassion for self-criticism and called it accountability. That’s not accountability. That’s punishment.
🧠.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and one of the most overlooked pieces of mental health is the story we tell ourselves when we feel like we’ve fallen short. That inner voice that says you failed, you’re too far behind, you might as well quit. That voice is lying to you.
🌱The promise you made in January was real. It still is. The journal still has blank pages. The shoes are still by the door. Your body still shows up for you every single morning even on the days you haven’t shown up for it.
You don’t need a new year, a new Monday, or a new version of yourself to begin again. You just need today. 💪.
This is your reminder that progress is not always visible and the comeback is always available. The promise doesn’t expire. You are not behind. You are still in it. 🔑
Save this. Share this with someone who needs it today. 💚
