The Pitcher-Catcher relationship is one of the most important partnerships in sports. 👏🏽

A Catcher can calm a Pitcher down after a tough inning. A Pitcher can trust her Catcher to have her back when things get difficult. Together they create confidence, communication, leadership, and accountability for the entire team.

The best Batteries aren’t always the most talented. They’re the ones who trust each other, communicate openly, and genuinely want the best for one another.

Pitchers and Catchers: make time to build that relationship. Talk softball. Support each other. Learn each other’s strengths. Celebrate each other’s successes.

A strong Battery can change a game. A connected battery can change a season.

Our girl, .farrell25 knows something about a strong Battery and I can’t wait for our PC’s to learn from her! We still have spots open for our Advanced Catchers!

Catchers are one of the most important positions on the field… yet they are often the most overlooked when it comes to development.

Most catchers spend all weekend catching games but rarely get the opportunity to truly slow things down and LEARN the position.

At our Advanced Battery Camp Pitch Lab, catchers will get the opportunity to work with Jesse Farrell — currently playing at University of Nebraska–Lincoln and learning from some of the best softball minds in the country.

This isn’t just about blocking and throw downs.

This is about:
• Leadership

BIG NEWS for SPA this summer 🩵🥎

We are so excited to officially announce that Coach Annie will be joining us again this summer for lessons!

Annie Finch has been a part of our coaching staff since her Senior year of high school, but her journey with SPA started even earlier. Coach Dani has been coaching Annie since her freshman year of high school, and she has truly grown up within the SPA family. From helping at camps to beginning lessons during her senior year, Annie has been a huge part of what makes SPA special.

This spring, Annie will be graduating from Brown University with a degree in Biology on the Biotechnology and Physiology track 🎓 She was also just accepted into Brown’s Biotechnology Master’s Program, which she will begin this fall! We are beyond proud of everything she has accomplished both on and off the field.

Annie has been around since the very beginning of SPA and understands exactly what we are about — building strong pitchers and even stronger humans. She is incredibly knowledgeable, energetic, patient, and FUN. Our girls absolutely love her!

Coach Annie’s lesson days are still TBD, but she will be available during June and July only. This gives families another great option for:
• Extra one-on-one lesson time
• Scheduling when your regular coach is out of town
• Finding availability when schedules are booked up

If you’ve been wanting more reps this summer, this is an amazing opportunity to work with someone who truly knows and believes in the SPA philosophy 💪

🥎 NCAA SOFTBALL POSTSEASON CHALLENGE 🥎

Postseason softball starts TODAY, and this is your reminder:

If you want to level up your game, you have to make time to learn, grow, and analyze the game.

Your challenge:
Watch at least 3 FULL innings of any NCAA postseason softball game.

This is open to EVERYONE — not just pitchers!

Post your answers on your story and tag us, or send a picture to your coach if you don’t have Instagram.

Answer these questions:

1. Who was playing?
3. What are 3 examples of positive body language or behaviors you noticed?
4. Who was your favorite player on either team and why?
5. Did you see a great play, hit, pitch, defensive moment, or something that stood out? Explain it in detail.
6. If you saw an error, bad pitch, home run, strikeout, or tough moment — how did that player respond with their body language? Explain what you noticed.
7. What is 1 thing you learned from watching at least 3 innings of college softball?

Games start today at 8:00 AM and run through Sunday afternoon.

Don’t just watch softball.
Study it.
Learn from it.

🚨ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE 🚨🥎

We had SO many requests asking for more pitching spots for our Summer Camps and if we were adding another session… so we decided to add something NEW 👀🔥

⚡️ Summer Pitcher Lab-June 23-25 ⚡️

This will be for INTERMEDIATE PITCHERS ONLY and will be limited to the FIRST 15 PITCHERS.

This is going to be a high-energy, detailed training environment focused on building a more COMPLETE pitcher.

What we’ll cover:
• Fastball mechanics
• Changeup mechanics
• Drop ball mechanics
• Power & movement
• Rapsodo analysis & feedback
• Mental training
• Strength & conditioning
• And all the little things that help take pitchers to the next level

🚨 IMPORTANT 🚨
This is for pitchers who already have a consistent fastball and changeup.

If your changeup is still brand new or you consistently struggle throwing strikes, this will probably not be the right fit at this time — and that’s okay! We want every athlete in the environment that helps them succeed most.

If you are unsure whether this is the right fit for your daughter, please reach out to Dani Spaulding or your coach and we will help guide you.
