One of the things basketball has given me over the years is time to think.
Not during the games. Not when the arena is full but in moments like this.

An empty gym has a way of making you tell yourself the truth. It doesn’t care about your title, your record or what you’ve accomplished. It’s just you and your thoughts.

When I look back on my life, there were seasons when one thought changed everything. One thought gave me the courage to keep going. One thought helped me see a setback differently. One thought reminded me that God wasn’t finished yet.

That’s why I pay attention to what I’m feeding my mind. Because I’ve learned that we’re often just one thought away from a completely different outcome. You get to choose!
