Your body adapted. That is why nothing is changing.

The same weights, same reps, same exercises. Your body figured it out and stopped responding. It happens faster than most people realize.

What you eat after training matters more than most people think.

Here’s the simple version.

Protein within a couple hours. Chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt, a shake. This is what rebuilds the muscle you just trained.

Carbs with it. Rice, potatoes, fruit. This refills the energy you burned and helps your body actually use that protein.

You don’t need a perfect window. You don’t need to time it to the minute. You just need to not skip it.

Most people train hard and then eat nothing for three hours. That’s where the results get left on the table.

Your metabolism is slow after 35 because you’re losing muscle.

These are the 3 lifts that fix it.

1. Squat: biggest muscle groups in your body. More muscle activated means more calories burned at rest. Every single day.

2. Deadlift: people over 35 avoid this one. Don’t. Your body works hard to recover from this lift. That recovery is your metabolism running.

3. Row: the upper body pull most people skip entirely. Build muscle everywhere and your metabolism responds to all of it.

Squat. Deadlift. Row. 4 hours a week.

If chicken breast is the only protein source you know you’re making this harder than it needs to be.

5 sources I actually use:

Egg whites — 6 egg whites is 20 grams. 3 minutes.

Greek yogurt — 1 cup is 15 to 20 grams. Zero cooking.

Ground turkey — faster than chicken, hits the same numbers.

Lean beef — high protein and one of the best iron sources you can eat. Especially important for women over 35.

Shrimp — 20 grams per 3 oz. 5 minutes flat.

Variety keeps you consistent. Consistency gets you results.
