Game Day 2 is here, and the stakes are high at the District 4 Tournament.

Our Little League (10–12) and Junior Division Softball teams are back on the field, battling to keep their tournament run alive. This is where the energy, determination, and heart of our players truly shine.

Now more than ever, they need their community behind them.Come out, pack the stands, and bring the noise. Let’s show up strong, cheer loud, and represent Las Vegas Little League with pride. Your support makes a difference and gives our players that extra push when it matters most.

It is with heavy hearts that Las Vegas Little League extends our deepest condolences to the family, friends, players, coaches, officials, and all those whose lives were touched by Coach Dominic “Donnie” Montoya.

Coach Montoya was more than a coach—veteran, umpire, and a dedicated member of our community. His passion for youth sports, especially his Rockies team, and his commitment these young men, commitment to service, and willingness to give his time to others left a lasting impact on countless athletes and families throughout Northern New Mexico.

Whether on the basketball court, football field, baseball diamond, or softball field, Coach Montoya led with integrity, compassion, and a genuine love for the game. His influence reached far beyond wins and losses, helping shape the character and confidence of the young people he coached.

We are grateful for his years of service, dedication, and unwavering support of youth athletics. His legacy will continue to live on through the players he inspired, the coaches he mentored, and the community he helped strengthen.

On behalf of the Las Vegas Little League Board of Directors, coaches, players, families, and volunteers, we offer our heartfelt prayers and condolences during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Coach Donnie. Thank you for your service, your leadership, and the countless lives you touched.
