Los Angeles Pirates The Los Angeles Pirates are a softball team competing in the Greater Los Angeles Softball Association (“GLASA”). The Pirates compete in the D division of GLASA.

GLASA is a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit with the stated purpose to be a permanently organized, non-profit slow-pitch adult softball league dedicated to the promotion of amateur athletics for all persons regardless of age, race, creed, religion, s*x, national origin, or s*xual orientation. GLASA supports many causes in the LBGT community and serves to promote understanding and acceptance through at

hletics while integrating players of all s*xual orientation without exclusion. GLASA competes in the larger North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (“NAGAAA”), itself a Section 501(c)(3) non-profit with teams throughout the United States and Canada. The D division is the largest in GLASA both in team number (16) and participant size (over 200). Each team competes to win their division in order to represent GLASA in the North American Championships of NAGAAA (“World Series”). The Pirates represented the D division of GLASA in the World Series finishing fifth in the 2015 competition for all teams in North America. Members of the Pirates have competed in NAGAAA sponsored tournaments all over North America including: Seattle, San Diego, Philadelphia, New York, New Orleans, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Palm Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Austin, Minnesota and Washington DC.
