The LBA would like to share that the Nuñez Family has decided to step away from running the Labor Day Weekend Tournament.
With the passing of Tommy Nuñez Sr., the family felt this was the right time, and they have asked me to continue Tommy’s legacy and vision in running the Labor Day Weekend Tournament. Its very humbling and a Great Honor to be given this opportunity. Due to logistics and limited time, we will take 2026 off as we continue to Honor Tommy Nunez Sr.
We are in the preliminary stages of planning the 2027 Tournament, and we felt with Tommy’s passion and personal history for the Central Valley – what better place to host this tournament than Central California! The tournament will be planned to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Tommy Nunez Sr through this basketball tournament.
We are hoping to have the location locked down within the next few months.
So please SAVE THE DATE:
Friday September 3rd – Monday September 6th 2027!
LBA was surprised and honored to have Donnie Nunez and his wife stop by and visit with players today.
He also donated some shorts and backpacks that will be given to the MVPs this year 🏆
