THE RUN FOR A MILLION, PRESENTED BY TETON RIDGE
Academy-Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, writer of HELL OR HIGH WATER and SICARIO, WRITER/DIRECTOR of WIND RIVER and co-creator of YELLOWSTONE, wanted to design a venue that showcased the talent of both horse and rider in one of the most demanding equine sports in existence: Reining. Sheridan has partnered with Amanda Brumley, Brumley Management Group

producer of three National Reining Horse Association leading events world-wide, to create and produce this one of a kind event. THE RUN FOR A MILLION, presented by Teton Ridge, offers the unprecedented opportunity to introduce millions of viewers to the sport of Reining. Sixteen of the industries most successful Reining Professionals will compete for a total purse of $1,000,000. In addition to the main event there will be a $150,000 Open Shoot Out, $170,000 Cow Horse Challenge, presented by Teton Ridge, and $50,000 Bull Fighters Only Fight For Fifty. On top of the tremendous prize money, the top six riders in the Open Shoot Out will be guaranteed a position in the 2023 Million Dollar Competition at THE RUN FOR A MILLION, presented by Teton Ridge. Other performances include THE RUN FOR A MILLION, presented by Teton Ridge, Bloomer Rookie Championship, $50,000 Added Non Pro Championship. The goal in creating and producing THE RUN FOR A MILLION, presented by Teton Ridge, is to introduce new people to the world of western performance horses while supporting all of those who have made Reining our life’s passion. Every great horse has a first chapter, and sometimes it doesn’t go as planned.
About a month ago in Tulsa, Casey showed Bellissimo, a very talented 3-year-old making his very first trip to the show pen. When the lights, judges, and atmosphere became overwhelming, Casey stopped, petted him, stepped off and quietly walked out. He knew the horse was special, but he also knew that forcing the moment wouldn’t build the confidence Bellissimo needed. (Picture from that moment)
Instead, they went home, hauled him around a few places, and worked with him.
Fast forward to today: Bellissimo just walked into the All American Quarter Horse Congress Open Futurity and marked a 221 — currently leading the Open Prelims for Arcese Quarter Horses. 🙌
That’s horsemanship. Believing in the horse, giving them patience, and knowing that the right foundation today will build champions tomorrow.

Casey and William left it all out in the arena on Saturday night, and they certainly did not disappoint! William has been so consistent all year and marking huge scores. we couldn't be more proud of him and can't wait to see what next year has in store. Thank you to everyone who has been apart of our journey in any way!
William is home now for some well deserved rest and relaxation, and prepare for the 2026 breeding season! Stay tuned for more info as that gets closer:)

Scottie Doesn’t Know Earns Reserve Championship at the Run For A Million Open Shootout
Las Vegas, NV – August 2025 – Scottie Doesn’t Know delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious Run For A Million Open Shootout, marking a score of 228.5 to secure a coveted qualification for the 2026 Run For A Million. Scottie’s run earned him the title of Reserve Champion along with $17,550 in prize money.
Scottie Doesn’t Know is proudly owned by Ronald Anderson. He was originally selected as a yearling by trainer Kole Price from Medows Quarter Horses and has remained in Price’s program for his entire career.
“This horse has been a part of our program from the very beginning, and to see him succeed on this stage is incredibly rewarding,” said Price. “We are proud of everything Scottie has accomplished and look forward to what’s ahead.”

I'm extremely honored to be participating in my 6th RUN FOR A MILLION this year! To share such a prestigious lineup with 4 Qualifiers that have been an important part of FAPPANI PERFORMANCE HORSES makes me incredibly proud; ARNO HONSTETTER, MARCO RICOTTA, my son LUCA and FERNANDO SALGADO (who is unable to participate as he is recovering from an injury) have all complimented my program and been a big part of my journey with horses and horsemanship.
We are all competitors and friends– at the RFAM, it's a showcase of excellence and it promises to be a great show!
