Carbon fiber connecting rods are coming—and they’re going to completely disrupt the racing industry. Carbon fiber connecting rods could make the forged steel rods we worship today look like horse-and-buggy technology. 😂

Think about what happens when you remove a MASSIVE amount of reciprocating weight from inside an engine.

Less rod weight. Less stress on the crank. Faster acceleration through the RPM. Potential for absolutely stupid engine speeds. Suddenly that expensive forged steel rod starts looking like a boat anchor.

“But carbon can’t handle that!” 🤡

They said the same thing about carbon driveshafts.

Carbon fiber has already invaded aerospace, driveshafts, wheels, chassis components, and countless other places where strength-to-weight matters. The connecting rod is just another frontier.

Once somebody nails the fiber orientation, resin system, bearing interface, and big-end design—and starts proving these things at serious power levels—the entire connecting rod industry could get turned upside down.

The 2026 season at LVMS Bullring was exciting, fun, and challenging. Being the first time ever racing here we competed in 6 out of 8 races and were able to finish P7 in the overall points. Racing in the Mini Stock class we are allowed to really work on our setups unlike just doing tire pressures for the last 6 years.
The 3/8 mile banked track is very unique from end to end and was challenging learning what different setup changes do to the handling of the car. Thanks for the help Bory Molina and congratulations on your championship. This past Saturday was the final race for the season and we were able to get on the podium for the second time with a P2 finish. We were able to find more speed and shaved 6 tenths off our best time.
