Bermudez take the down the Bandit at Griff's Bar & Billiards in Las Vegas!
44 players came to Griff’s Billiards in Las Vegas for the 2026 Bandit $1,000 Entry 650 & Under 9’ 10-Ball Championship and they came to win.
Defending champion, Ramon Alvarado, came in on a mission and made it to the hotseat match virtually unscathed. There he met a strong charging Wayne Farnum II who just over came a red hot Junior Carrizosa to get his shot at the hotseat. That match went Ramon’s way, winning 9-4.
Jorge Bermudez faced Ramon first match Sunday on the winners side and fell 9-3 so he started his march through the losers side. There he beat Jonathan Cardenas 7-4, Roy Santiago 7-4, Junior Carrizosa 7-0 and Carlos Urgellos 7-3 before entering the semifinal match with Wayne. There, Jorge proved he was on a mission winning 7-1 to get back to play Ramon in the finals in a single race to 13. Jorge came out hot, up 3-0 but Ramon stayed close and tying it at 9-9 then taking a 10-9 lead. But Jorge proved too strong winning the final four racks to take the championship down 13-10.
