The Strip Barbell Unveils ENGINE ROOM: The West Coast’s New Home for Elite HYROX Training
In Partnership with The Hybrid Engine Programming Co., Owned by 3x World Champion Lauren Weeks and Head of Programming Anthony Peressini
LAS VEGAS, NV — The Strip Barbell, one of Las Vegas’ premier strength and performance facilities, today announces the evolution of its previously teased HYROX concept — formerly known as ROX ROOM — into ENGINE ROOM, a dedicated 3,600 square-foot training facility built to become the training home for HYROX athletes across the West Coast.
The rebrand marks more than a name change. Partnering with The Hybrid Engine programming company — owned by 3x World Champion Lauren Weeks and head of programming Anthony Peressini — The Hybrid Engine training system will serve as the facility’s core programming.
“When we set out to build this space, the goal was never just to build another gym,” said Joe Tepe, founder and operator of The Strip Barbell. “We wanted to build the standard. Aligning with Lauren, Anthony and The Hybrid Engine gives our members access to programming built by someone who lives and breathes this sport at the highest level. This isn’t a room with equipment in it — it’s an engine built to make people faster, stronger, and more resilient.”
A Partnership Built on Standards
The Hybrid Engine methodology has become known among HYROX competitors for its structured, science-backed approach to building hybrid strength and endurance athletes. By bringing that programming in-house, ENGINE ROOM positions itself as more than a training space — it becomes a pipeline for serious HYROX competitors, from first-timers to elite-level athletes, to train under a system already respected across the sport.
Built in Vegas. Built for the West Coast.
Grand Opening
ENGINE ROOM is currently in its final buildout phase and will officially open on September 11 with a Friday night open house and workout. Details and signups to come
