We are so sad to hear about the passing of Miss West Coast Lady, affectionately known as “Lady.” Lady made a huge impact on the club throughout her years with us. From lessons to shows, she was trusting, talented, hard-working, smart, and wonderfully special in every way 👑✨Lady was an incredible teacher to all no matter the experience, and taught many of us so many valuable lessons and skills that made us better riders today.

We are so thankful to Kris (and Lia!) for giving us the pleasure of experiencing Lady, and we send our love and support to Urlaub Ranch ❤️

We wish we could hang onto them for longer, but we have to bid our class of ‘26 farewell! 🥳💛🩵

The club owes a massive congratulations to our 2026 GRADUATES (pictured & not)!! Our seniors have kept our club values close: upholding great teamwork, horsemanship, and sportsmanship. They’ve represented our team tremendously well in and out of the show ring by showing up for lessons and events, building each other up, and keeping a great attitude through thick and thin.

We were so thankful to celebrate some of you one last time at our annual Grad night (pictured!) and during Photo day, and are SO EXCITED to see what’s in store for you next (& hope it involves horses 😉). Till next time!

have you ever wanted YOUR OWN batch of professional photos with our favorite ponies? 🐴📸💕 good news! we’re now announcing our WESTERN PHOTOSHOOT FUNDRAISER! 🤠✨

💭How do I register?
↳ visit the link in our bio, find “PHOTOSHOOT FUNDRAISER,” and navigate to the non-member/member option to register for a time-slot and find payment info! Carpooling (if applicable) can and will be arranged!

💭How much are photos?
↳ two of our talented photographers Camilla & Zach are currently offering 🌟10 edited photos in a 30 min session for $100. current club members have a discounted price of $75!🌟 order BEFORE May 24th to avoid price increases!

💭 Are horses provided?
↳ yes! non-club members may take standing photos with some of our coach-provided horses. we kindly ask all recipients to be flexible with horse choices!

* note: loose & flowy dresses are not encouraged and may limit or restrict what horses are available to you. riding images are not guaranteed. be sure to reach out to us with any questions!

Celebrate the Class of 2026 during our annual GRAD NIGHT @ Ruhstaller Farms 🎓

Club members and alumni are welcome and encouraged to come and enjoy a wonderful night of community and fun with our favorite seniors. Grad night is Sunday, May 31st @ 7pm. Nice attire is encouraged!

Hope we didn’t keep ya waiting! The Western Equestrian Club @ UCD had a historic showing at Semifinals over this past March 🌟

Our ability to compete at one of IHSA’s highest level events is thanks to the generous support of our donors 💙💛 The club is incredibly grateful for all of your support leading up to Semifinals, and, thanks to you, we were able to cover competition exhibitor entry and travel cost to Las Cruces, NM!

🏆 COMPETITION RECAP 🏆

Our team members have worked hard with our wonderful coach, Kris Urlaub, to produce results at Semifinals among some of the nations most competitive IHSA teams! The club completed the weekend finishing 🌟6th overall🌟, with exemplary performances across the board. We’d like to congratulate our riders individually:

Eadora Moradkhan with a 2nd 🥈in Beginner HMS

Zach Reese with a 4th in Rookie HMS

Kate Rohrer with a 3rd 🥉 in LVL I HMS

Camilla Lindh with a 6th in LVL II HMS

Gracie Ortman with a 5th in Ranch Riding

Lily Hatch with a 6th in Open HMS & Reining

Congratulations and thank you to our exhibitors for practicing diligently in preparation for Semifinals and representing UC Davis exceptionally well inside & outside the show ring!
