Please help us welcome our new principal!
Dear LCHS Families,
We are thrilled to announce the selection of Charli Lennon as the new principal of Las Cruces High School. Charli Lennon brings with her 16 years of experience in education, having served in a variety of impactful roles, including teacher, principal, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, and most recently, strategic planning coordinator for the Houston-area regional educational service center. In every role, she has remained focused on advancing equity, fostering strong school cultures, and ensuring high-quality instruction for all students.
A native of Austin, Texas, Charli holds a Master of Education from Houston Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish from the University of North Texas. Known for her energetic leadership and passion for inclusive, thriving learning environments, Charli is deeply committed to student success. Outside of school, she is a devoted wife and mother of two.
“Ms. Lennon brings not only deep experience but a strong, student-centered approach to leadership,” noted LCPS Superintendent Ignacio Ruiz. “Her commitment to equity, collaboration and academic excellence aligns with the values that are at the core of LCPS. I’m confident that under her leadership, Las Cruces High School will continue to grow as a place where all students thrive. At LCPS, we believe in shared leadership, and Ms. Lennon exemplifies the kind of partnership and innovation that will continue to move us forward.”
Thank you to those who shared with us your feedback during the selection process, and to those who attended our community forum at LCHS with the candidate finalists last week. With the 2025–2026 school year right around the corner, we are energized by the leadership and vision Ms. Lennon brings to our community and we look forward to an opportunity in the very near future for you to meet her and officially welcome her to the Bulldawg family.
Here’s to a successful year ahead!
