I have 3 passions in life: Family, Firefighting and Helping others achieve their ultimate fitness goals. I'm a full time critical care paramedic with the Las Cruces Fire Department. I've been a licensed paramedic for 7 years and been with LCFD for 6 years now. I've been in the fitness world for over 10 years and have been competing for the last 5. I am married to my beautiful wife, Leslie who will

also be helping our clients to achieve their ultimate fitness goals. I'm experienced in all diets that are on the market, diet plans, fitness routines, meal prepping and diabetic management. Even though I am a type 2 diabetic, I have found the ways to achieve my goals with this diagnoses. Hey! How’s everyone during this quarantine?

I have something NEW to share! I found this amazing company for workout gear for men, women and kids. If your like me, the correct gear when working out is a must. Pre, intra and post work out supplements.

Pre- PMP and 10g creatine
Intra- 10g BCAA with 20g L-Glutamine
Post- 10g BCAA, 20g L-Glutamine and 10g creatine.

BCAA for muscle recovery and sustained intra workout energy.
PMP for metal focus and NO production
Creatine is used for increasing ATP production in skeletal muscle.

So my wonderful salmon recipe is.....

In a bowl mix these ingredients together. ( I bought this huge 3lb salmon from Sams. So I doubled my recipe) here is the recipe for 1-1 1/2 lb salmon.

💥1 Tablespoon brown sugar- we used Splenda brown sugar
💥1 teaspoon salt
💥1 teaspoon garlic powder
💥1 teaspoon celery seed
💥1 teaspoon pepper
💥1 teaspoon paprika
💥1/2 teaspoon onion powder
💥1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
💥1/4 teaspoon chili powder
💥1/8 teaspoon fennel seed(crushed)
💥1/8 teaspoon ground cumin

Note: you can either cut your salmon in cubes, have portions or a whole filet.

Mix these spices together in a bowl and lay it on top of the salmon, or if cubed for skewers, shake in a bag. I let this rub sit on the salmon or sit in the bag and marinade for 30 minutes before baking or grilling.

If doing a filet or portions cover with foil and put on the top rack of the BBQ grill on low heat for about 20-30 minutes depending on your grill. ( I say that because I’ve used 3 different grills since having this recipe and it came out different) You know your grill.

If doing skewers, place in metal skewers and cook on top rack for 10-15 minutes.

I’ve found that wrapping this in foil seems to hold in the flavor much more. But your preference.

Portion out for the week. We like this salmon on top of a spinach salad or paired with brown rice and a veggie!
