Thank you to everyone who has reached out over the past few days. I am blown away by and very grateful for your continued support!

One of the highlights of the week was the opportunity to join live on his radio show, A New Breed of Golf. We talked about teaching and coaching, youth player deveopment, and mentorship. Michael was incredibly genuine, and made me feel worthy and deserving of the recognition. Thanks you, Michael!

And thank you, Mallory, for helping make this possible! I appreciate you more than you know!

I am incredibly honored to receive the 2026 National PGA Youth Player Development Award.

While this award reflects years of work, it would not be possible without God, my family, and the support of our entire community. To me, this recognition belongs to all of us. I am especially thankful for our junior golfers, their families, and the PGM students who make this journey so meaningful.

As fate would have it, I attended a P.G.A. Recovery Meeting just moments before the awards ceremony, and then was gifted a bottle of whiskey to close the night. That bottle will sit in my office as a reminder of the transformation I’ve experienced since getting sober, and my commitment to living one day at a time.

I am truly humbled to have hosted Bill Harmon this weekend for two incredible golf schools as part of his Harmon Recovery Foundation Footprints Tour.

Bill is as genuine and humble as they come. Our players gravitated to him, hung on every word, and lined up afterward for photos and autographs.

He spoke about the grip and its influence on the clubface, the role of swing plane in shaping club path, and shared stories from his time caddying for Jay Haas and being around some of the game’s greats. He also opened up about his family, the lessons learned from his dad and brothers, and how golf shaped his perspective on life.

What stuck with me most wasn’t just the golf, it was his message of respect, gratitude, recovery, and the idea that while we only have two feet, we can leave countless footprints through the way we live and treat others.

Thank you, Bill, for sharing your wisdom, your heart, and your time with our community. 🙏🏽

Looking to add more speed to your golf swing?

Try the “Whip Drill”.

Swing a light alignment stick and listen for the "whoosh" sound after the ball.

This will help you develop a feel for increased speed and a proper release of energy.

Improve your iron strikes with the Baseball Drill!

Set up, lift the club, and swing back in a motion similar to a baseball swing.

Then, practice emulating the shallowness by hitting the ball cleanly off the tee.

Perfect for players with a steep angle of attack, this drill enhances ball striking and helps eliminate distance loss and excessive divots.

Improve your contact by changing your low point.

If the one I posted yesterday didn’t work, try this simple drill: set an alignment stick parallel to a line of golf balls and make swings without hitting the alignment stick.

As always, I recommend starting with small swings and working up to bigger swings.

Enjoy!

Consider this: an average male amateur golfer with a swing speed of 93.4 mph achieves a distance of about 214 yards.

However, by improving ball speed through better contact, the potential distance can increase to 255 yards, a gain of 41 yards.

Interestingly, professionals on the PGA and LPGA Tours have demonstrated the impact of ball speed.

PGA Tour Pros, on average, achieve 2.58 yards per mph of swing speed, while the average male amateur attains 2.29 yards.

Surprisingly, an LPGA Tour pro outperforms them all, achieving an average of 2.6 yards per mph.

This further emphasizes the importance of quality contact for maximizing ball speed and distance.

To improve your ball speed and increase your overall distance, prioritize center contact, square contact, and optimal trajectory before attempting to increase your swing speed.

By refining your technique and achieving consistent, solid contact, you can optimize your ball speed and achieve greater distances.
