WinMan Trails is a network of silent sport trails located in Wi******er, WI. Spanning 1300 acres of private land and public Northern Highlands American Legion State Forest recreation land, WinMan Trails offer opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, classic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. WHERE: WinMan Trails is located 4 miles north of Manitowish Waters on Highway W. The trailhead and parking lot are at the intersection of Highway W and J.

The wait is over. Cabins at WinMan BaseCamp are officially open for reservations. 🙌

You've been asking us when you'd finally be able to book one, and we're pretty excited to say: today is the day.

Safety just got a boost at BaseCamp. 🚨

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the 545 Foundation, a new AED (automated external defibrillator) has been installed right in the hallway of Pops Lodge — giving guests and staff access to life-saving technology, right when it matters most.

Made possible through funds raised at the annual Jeremy Petrie Memorial Snowmobile Poker Run and a generous gift from Jeremy's wife and children in his memory, this AED comes through a partnership between the 545 Foundation, Northwoods EMS District, and the Town of Manitowish Waters . We're so grateful for their generosity and for a community that shows up for each other in ways big and small.

And as a reminder, WinMan also has an AED available at the main trailhead in the Chalet building. Knowing where these resources are can make all the difference in an emergency.

Thank you, 545 Foundation, for helping us make BaseCamp an even safer place for everyone who visits. ❤️

Our first big group weekend at BaseCamp is officially in the books: Dirt Camp 2026, hosted by The Nxrth. 🚵‍♀️🔥 The Nxrth

A full campground, packed with mountain bikers coming together for a weekend of outdoor adventure. The Nxrth put together a dialed-initinerary featuring rides for every skill level, trail collector challenges, catered group meals, and the kind of energy that makes you want to sign up for next year before the weekend is even over.

Cabin rentals are just around the corner and as you can see, our crew is putting the final touches on some landscaping.

Turns out years of building rock gardens out on the trail translates perfectly here, where this part of the property is FULL of rocks. Our crew is putting as much of it to good use as possible.

And they never cease to amaze us with their attention to detail. A rock swale for water mitigation turned into a wildflower focal point. Stone seating around the fire pit got a tall, moss-covered rock backrest, because why not. Rockscaping meant to catch runoff around the building is sized just right for kids to leapfrog across. Oh, and what if that retaining wall had steps built right into it?

It's the generous, year-round support from all of you that lets us employ a crew this talented — one that brings this level of care to every little detail that makes up the WinMan experience.

You show up for a full day on the trail. But your derailleur has other plans.

No problem. Coontail is right there — BoulderJunction and Arbor Vitae — with rentals, repairs, and everything else you need to actually ride. They'll get you back on the trail or put you on a different bike entirely.

This Week At WinMan 🌲☀️🚵🏾‍♂️

The weather has been incredible and the trails are in amazing condition. Just a few more weeks to soak up summer before the kids head back to school. Make plans now to join us this week at WinMan.

Tuesday: Kids Ride | 4-6 PM
Sponsored by Manitowish Cranberry Co., this is an opportunity for kids to bike with other kids, in a casual family-friendly setting. Arrive at your leisure between 4pm and 6pm and stay as long as you like.

Wednesday: Yoga @ WinMan | 11-12 PM
Led by Marni Walker, this all-levels vinyasa class invites you to move with intention—linking breath to movement in a steady, flowing sequence designed to build strength, mobility, and balance.

Wednesday: Peek-a-boo Pizza | 11-3 PM
Enjoy freshly made stone-fired pizza every Wednesday at WinMan.

Saturday: Northwind Co-Op Pop-Up Kitchen | 11-2 PM
Northwind Co-Op will be serving up sandwiches, soups, and so much more. So come on out to WinMan to enjoy some amazing foods right along side our amazing trails.

We are so excited to give you a first look at the newest trail here at BaseCamp!

Starting at Pop's Lodge (which looks gorgeous by the way as the landscaping matures and the wildflowers have bloomed) this new gravel trail is made of durable crushed granite and has been compacted to provide a smooth riding surface. We'll have a large kiosk and more signage and information coming soon.

It winds between the tent sites and at the end the trail turns into a traditional mountain bike trail that will bring riders into both Happy Camper to access the Papoose Hub, as well as Gene Connector to access the Rear Hub.

We've built in some true mountain bike features right on the path, including a couple of berms, a wooden roller, and a skinny. It's the perfect spot for kids to circle and practice their skills!

We're working hard on these new trails and hope to have them ready in time for Labor Day Weekend. Stay tuned to your emails for more information and the official opening day of those trails.
