WinMan Trails is a network of silent sport trails located in Wi******er, WI. Spanning 1300 acres of private land and public Northern Highlands American Legion State Forest recreation land, WinMan Trails offer opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, classic skiing, skate skiing, and snowshoeing. WHERE: WinMan Trails is located 4 miles north of Manitowish Waters on Highway W. The trailhead and parking lot are at the intersection of Highway W and J.

Who’s ready to race into the weekend? 🌲🚲

If you're looking to escape to the woods and get some dirt on your tires, the crew has you covered. They've been hard at work clearing back the rapid June growth to give you a fresh, fast, and clean riding experience across the majority of the system.

But that's not all—our trail expansion is continuing and the first section of Happy Camper is officially complete! Connecting you from the Papoose Hub to the BaseCamp Campground, this short downhill trail is an absolute blast. Come test it out for yourself this weekend and see all the incredible progress happening around BaseCamp.

🚴‍♀️ Calling All Young Riders! 🌲

Looking for the perfect summer adventure for your daughter? The Little Bellas Half-Day Mountain Bike Camp is coming to WinMan Trails this July!

Designed for girls ages 9–11 of all riding levels, this week-long camp blends trail exploration and skill-building with non-stop games, energy, and smiles. Whether she’s brand new to mountain biking or already loves hitting the dirt, our experienced mentors will help her build confidence on two wheels and connect with the great outdoors.

📅 Camp Details:

Dates: Monday, July 6 – Friday, July 10, 2026

Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM daily

Location: WinMan Trails

Age Group: Girls, ages 9–11

What’s Included: A custom Little Bellas t-shirt, goodie bag, snacks, and a wrap-up party!

🎒 What to Bring:

A mountain bike in good working order (with hand brakes, gears, and treaded tires)

Bike-specific helmet

Water & closed-toed shoes

Rain gear (we play rain or shine)

The weather is absolutely beautiful, and thanks to the recent rain, the trails are in amazing shape right now. The dirt is tacky, the woods are green, and conditions are about as good as it gets.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to get out and explore WinMan, this is it. 🚵‍♂️💨

After your adventure, hang by the trailhead and keep the good vibes rolling. 🍻

WinMan is more than trails. It is community. 🌲❤️

At our core, we are all about strengthening connections and fostering outdoor exploration, and the last few weeks have been a perfect example of that!

Recently, we welcomed AVW students out on the trails in partnership with North Lakeland Discovery Center. We hosted an awareness event for ICORE to help expand cycling across our region. Later this summer, we’re thrilled to host multiple middle and high school NICA teams as they prep for their upcoming season!

We love sharing our space to help our community grow.

We have some amazing events designed for our youngest shredders.

Every Tuesday this summer is our Kids Ride. Sponsored by Manitowish Cranberry Co., this is an opportunity for kids to bike with other kids, in a casual family-friendly setting. Arrive at your leisure between 4pm and 6pm and stay as long as you like. Whether still learning on a strider bike or progressing to your first full suspension trail bike, we invite everyone to gather together as a community.

Be sure to bring your own bikes and helmet. We'll provide snacks and a welcoming vibe. This is a casual event, not a structured ride, so you can just focus on having fun.

Then join us on July 2nd for our annual Kids Learn to Mountain Bike Clinic. Open to kids ages 6-11, this 2-hour clinic is a great way to introduce your child to mountain biking and improve their confidence and safety while out on the trails.

Classes start at 10am, 11am, and 12pm. All riders will receive a snack bag and drink to refuel after their adventure.

🌲 Weekend Trail Update 🌲

Recent rains have helped the trails a ton, providing much-needed moisture to the soil and leaving behind tacky and fast conditions.

Early June growth is upon us, but the trail crew has done an excellent job trimming branches and providing a clean and clear trail path system-wide. We will be working on w**d whacking and further trail maintenance as the month continues to keep all the early season growth in check. Get out this weekend though and enjoy some amazing riding!

Over the next few weeks you may see the crew out on the trails during the weekday performing necessary maintenance. Be sure to give them a high five and say thanks as you pass by. If you want to pitch in and help out yourself as a volunteer, shoot us an email at [email protected] and we can get you all set-up.

On Monday morning these were concrete slabs. This afternoon they look like cabins.

It's remarkable what a skilled crew and a crane can accomplish in a matter of days. The tiny cabins will sleep 4 — one queen and two twins. The premium cabins sleep 6 with three queen beds, a private bathroom, and a kitchenette.

While the builders made serious headway on the cabins, our trail crew turned their attention to the landscaping and paths around Pop's Lodge. We're grateful for the chance to put their talents to work beyond the trails every once in a while — the place is looking really good.

Cabins are on their way. In the meantime, campsites are open, trails are ready, and you're one reservation away from a trailside stay you won't forget.

🧘‍♀️🌲 WinMan Wednesdays Are Back 🌲🧘‍♂️

Starting next week — June 3rd — we’re slowing things down a little and adding some midweek balance to the woods.

Join us every Wednesday this summer for Yoga at BaseCamp. Stretch it out, breathe in some Northwoods air, and maybe finally loosen up those mountain bike legs 😅

💵 $20 registration fee
💙 50% of proceeds go directly back to supporting WinMan Trails
