2026 French Food Festival Grand Marshal – Ron Bailleaux

A lifelong resident of Larose, Ron Bailleaux is the son of the late Ernestine Vedros Bailleaux and Lowry J. Bailleaux and brother of the late Paul J. Bailleaux. Ron and his wife of 39 years, Bridget Allemand Bailleaux, are the proud parents of their son, Brock Bailleaux. Brock and his wife, Traya Bruce Bailleaux, are expecting their first child in January.

After graduating from South Lafourche High School in 1982, Ron began working as a delivery driver for Rogers Parts, launching a lifelong career in the automotive industry that has now spanned more than 43 years. In his current managerial role, he has built many lasting relationships with coworkers and customers alike.

Ron has long enjoyed attending the French Food Festival and decided he wanted to be part of it from the inside. He began volunteering in the bar, where he dedicated 23 years before moving to the jambalaya booth in 2018, where he continues today. Ron also plays a very important role in selecting the musical entertainment for the festival — a responsibility he greatly enjoys.

Before the current pavilion was built, Ron was part of the crew responsible for running electrical wiring beneath the “big top” tent used during the fair. He has served five separate terms on the Larose Civic Center Board and has contributed to countless Civic Center events over the years, including bartending for wedding receptions, company banquets, the fair workers’ supper, and many other gatherings. He has also prepared dishes for the Wild Game Supper. In recognition of his many contributions, Ron was inducted into the Larose Civic Center Hall of Fame in 2022.

Ron is an avid sports fan and dedicated supporter of South Lafourche High School athletics, Ron has spent the last decade preparing and serving team meals for Tarpon Football. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking for family and friends and can often be found on the patio stirring in a black pot.

Ron shares, “I am honored to serve as Grand Marshal for the 51st French Food Festival. All are invited to come and enjoy the great food, music, and fellowship of the French Food Festival!”

Please join us in Congratulating Ron!

Board Member Spotlight:
Terry Danos, Vice President ⭐

This month, we’re proud to recognize our Vice President, Terry Danos, for his many years of dedication and service to the Larose Civic Center.

Terry’s volunteer journey began at just 11 years old, and for decades he has continued to give his time, energy, and leadership to help make the Civic Center a success. His commitment to our community is evident in everything he does.

Many know Terry as the driving force behind our BINGO operations, where his hard work and attention to detail help keep one of our most important fundraisers running smoothly. During the French Food Festival, you’ll find him leading the popular Daiquiri Booth, helping serve festival-goers and contributing to the event’s continued success.

Whether he’s organizing events, supporting volunteers, or stepping in wherever help is needed, Terry’s dedication embodies the spirit of community service that makes the Larose Civic Center special.

Please join us in thanking Terry for his years of service and unwavering commitment to the Larose Civic Center and our community!
