4 years ago, he had never picked up a golf club in his life. Fast forward to today, and he’s now headed to play at the next level.

Proud of the way this kid bought in and fought through every swing change, tough day, and growing pain to become the player he is today. Nothing was given. Everything was earned through hard work, trust, and countless hours grinding.

The journey is just getting started.

Congratulations to South Lafourche’s own Christopher “Buddy” Fonseca. He’ll be heading to Pearl River Community College to continue both his academic and golf career.

Buddy’s hard work, dedication, and countless hours on the course have paid off, and the Tarpon family couldn’t be more proud. This now marks two consecutive years that South Lafourche will have a golfer represented at the collegiate level — a huge statement for the growth of our program and the future of Tarpon golf.

From day one, Buddy has represented South Lafourche with class, toughness, and competitiveness. We can’t wait to watch what’s next for him at the next level.
