Big shoutout to South Lafourche graduated senior Buddy Fonseca for taking home the Bayou Futures Foundation's top prize in their summer series.

The Foundation has hosted a series of tournaments over the past month for high school golfers with scholarships set to be earned for the top points getters during the events.

Fonseca was the guy left standing when it was all said and done, earning the top prize and some scholarship money for his time as a collegiate golfer.

Way to go, Buddy!

Another win for The Lab. Congrats Christopher Fonseca!!

Congrats Buddy Fonseca on the win at Bayou CC with a 74. Andrew Szush bringing in 2nd with a 76 and Grant Ledet with a 77. The top of the leaderboard is close. Next week will determine the 3 scholarship winners. Good luck to yall

South Lafourche graduate and future collegiate golfer Buddy Fonseca won the Boys 18-22 Division Tournament at the Kelly Gibson Junior Golf Tour this past weekend.

Fonseca had a wild round with just 5 pars. But he also carded 7 birdies on the way to outlasting the field.
