This is such an honor and privilege! He has done so much for Karate in Texas and we are so very proud of our Shihan.

Happy Birthday, Shihan! Incase you all didn’t know Rick Guerra Sr. started our karate school that we still carry today back in 1973. Today’s his birthday and here’s a message from us to him. 🥋 Your dedication to us, to martial arts, and to our family is your greatest legacy. Thank you for showing us what discipline and true strength look like. We loved that you provided a home that had a door in a hallway that led to the dojo. From training on concrete floors with no AC, to taking us to compete across the nation, to have been able to see your passion in action, and to have learned through old school training methods has been an absolute gift to all of us. As a dad having movie nights, taking us camping, hunting, telling jokes, ALL the hilarious pranks, letting us save you from the couch monster, making all of us feel safe and special.
It’s our privilege, as your daughters,son, son-in-law, and grandsons, to continue your legacy as instructors for RGAMA . We proudly keep your legacy alive.
We love you, Sensei to Shihan, OG TEAM Coach, dad, Papa Rick, The GOAT and our leader. Have a wonderful birthday!
