SOUTH TEXAS DANCE TEAM COMBINE ❤️💙

▪️Franco Paraiso▪️

Franco Paraiso is a professional independent choreographer, assistant coach, and dance teacher from Las Vegas, NV. 

Franco was a founding member and captain of the UNLV Rebel Girls & Company when they first started in 2017. After graduating, he immediately joined the coaching staff in 2019. In the past 9 seasons with the UNLV Rebel Girls & Company, he has won 5 D1A Hip Hop UDA National Championships, 7 D1A Game Day UDA National Championships, and 3 Premier Hip Hop ICU World Championships. 
Prior to that, he also competed with several Las Vegas community crews in competitions such as Hip Hop International and World of Dance. 

Now as a Hip Hop and Game Day Choreographer, he has claimed multiple top 3 finishes at NDTC with St. Joseph’s Academy and Bearden High School, and a DTU National Championship with Miami Arts. Franco also serves as a Master Instructor for UDA Summer Camps every year and provides camp choreography for high school dance teams to use throughout the season. 

Franco strives to provide high quality dance education through his own choreography. Whether in a competition or class setting, he emphasizes the importance of having knowledge of street dance styles and training hip hop technique as diligently and intentionally as other dance techniques.  

If he is not teaching a class, or filming his next project, you can probably find him dancing in the kitchen with his wife and dog.

▪️JALIYAH “JUICY” KERSTEN▪️

Jaliyah “Juicy” Kersten is a nationally recognized dancer, choreographer, and coach with over 17 years of training and performance experience across a diverse spectrum of styles, including ballet, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, ballroom, modern, kick, pom, and tap. Her versatility, technical excellence, and commanding stage presence earned her a coveted Top 24 Finalist spot on So You Think You Can Dance, as well as a leadership role as co-captain of the University of Central Florida Dance Team.

Today, Juicy travels nationwide choreographing for elite studios, high schools, collegiate programs, and major bowl game performances. She is highly sought after for her award-winning group routines, standout solos, and dynamic duets, consistently delivering innovative, high-impact choreography across all styles and age groups.

In addition to her freelance choreography work, Jaliyah serves as a Professional Assistant with the Artist Simply Human (ASH) dance convention, supporting renowned faculty and mentoring the next generation of dancers. She also serves as Assistant Coach and Lead Choreographer for the nationally ranked Lake Mary Marionettes, contributing her signature blend of precision, creativity, and performance quality to the program’s continued success.

Jaliyah is currently represented by the MSA Agency in Los Angeles and is actively pursuing her professional dance career in the commercial and entertainment industry. Through both teaching and performing, she remains committed to developing dancers not only technically, but artistically and professionally as performers.

Known for her bold style, infectious energy, and unmatched ability to bring out the best in every dancer she works with, Juicy continues to elevate the standard of dance wherever she goes.

Aidan was born and raised in the Bay Area. His competitive dance experience combined with his industry training have prepared him for some of the biggest stages.

He recently performed with Bad Bunny in the halftime show for Super Bowl LX! Other professional dance credits include: Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Karri, Jade, Nike, NYX Cosmetics, and the NFL!

This week we say goodbye to two ladies who have made a lasting impact on our school and students 🥹

Oli, thank you for your passion, leadership, and commitment to LSCD and the Drill Co. You helped build not just a program but also strong and confident young dancers. Your energy and belief in the girls challenged them to grow and achieve big milestones. The impact you’ve had on our Drill Company program and the memories you’ve helped create will remain part of LSCD for years to come. I have absolutely loved collaborating with you in this endeavor and watching you do something you’re so passionate about🥹

Lizzy, thank you for being the welcoming face of LSCD. From answering countless questions and helping families navigate their schedules to keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, you have helped me hold the fort down so I can focus on teaching and creating. Your kindness, patience, dedication, and willingness to help wherever needed never went unnoticed. You truly became the heart of our front desk, and we are so grateful for everything you have done for our students, families, and staff. When dance dreams come true 🩵

To see my students be accepted into a university dance program and for them to want to share it with me is one of the most beautiful and rewarding things about being a dance teacher 🥹

I have so many pictures and videos of them giving me a college shirt, telling me they got accepted into their dream dance program, coming to see me one last time before they leave for college, and being able to see them graduate from college 🩵

The year where this beautiful journey began 🥹

I opened LSCD because of my student, Ivana, and her family who believed in me 🩰 I would give her privates in her living room or any rentable gym spaces we could find. Small spaces were not suitable anymore for her big dreams nor my dreams for her 💫 She was so talented and needed more. Ivana would always beg me to open a studio and I consistently said no, until one day I decided to take the leap.

When LSCD opened its doors, I got the privilege to meet wonderful people and build long-lasting relationships. These are only a few pictures from our very first year but I have thousands of memories from 2011 🥹 You will see some of our founding members, our first LSCD excursion to watch a ballet documentary in Austin, me teaching, our first toddler class, and stills from our first showcase 🩵
