Our next LTC class is scheduled for Sunday August 23, 2026 at 10 am. Limited openings so book promptly.

Members are $50.00. Non-members are $75.00 and the $20.00 range fee.

Class starts at 10am and usually finishes by 4PM. We accept cash, debit, credit and apply pay. Pay in person and you will receive the course info and a study guide. We also offer LTC classes in Spanish. Contact instructor at 956-763-3057 for further info and prices.

Gun rentals are available for the course. Red dot or holographic optics are allowed. No laser or magnified scopes allowed. No other gun modifications are allowed.

Dos horas para el examen de calificacion con arma corta. Requiere una caja de 50 balas para el examen.

Felicidades a los nuevos graduados de el curso para portar arma corta en el estado de Texas. El dia antes dos de ellos tomaron la clase basica de pi***la porque no tenian expereincia con arma corta. Today we had a couple of visitors. Oldies but goodies.

M1903 US Rifle. Chambered in 30-06 and adopted in 1903 by the US as standard issue. Saw action in WWI.

M1 Garand .30 caliber US Rifle. Replaced the M1903 in 1936. Saw action in WWII and Korea. Chambered in 30-06 and was called by General Patton “as the greatest battle implement ever devised!”.

The Laredo Rifle and Pistol Club has an instructor ready to administer the proficiency shooting test for anyone that has taken an online course and just needs to take the in-person shooting proficiency exam.

Contact LTC Instructor Joe Gonzalez for cost of the test and to set an appointment for the exam. Cell 956-763-3057

Equipment needed is:
Pistol (semi-auto or revolver)
Ammo
Eye and ear protection

Course of fire:
20 rounds from the 3 yard line
20 rounds from the 7 yard line
10 rounds from the 15 yard line

Allowed calibers: 22LR and up

Modifications:
No magnified scopes
No lasers
Red dot or halographic sites allowed
No other modifications allowed

Proficiency test will be scheduled at the convenience of the applicant and instructor availability. Will be scheduled during normal hours of operation.
