Lady Vixens Earn Walk-Off Win Over Dream Crushers
It came down to the wire on Tuesday, as Lady Vixens grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 11-10, over Dream Crushers. The game was tied at 10 in the bottom of the third when Saddie Lynn Palacios singled, scoring one run.
Lady Vixens collected five hits and Dream Crushers had six in the high-scoring affair.
Dream Crushers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after their third batter doubled, scoring two runs, and fourth batter singled, scoring three runs.
Dream Crushers added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Lady Vixens dropped a third strike, and Lady Vixens committed an error, each scoring one run.
Lady Vixens tied the game in the bottom of the second thanks to a hit by a pitch, a single by Saddie Lynn Palacios, a hit by a pitch, and a passed ball.
In the top of the third inning, Dream Crushers went back into the lead after their fifth batter doubled down the right field line, Dream Crushers scored on a passed ball, and third batter singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.
Lady Vixens captured the lead, 11-10, in the bottom of the third after Bella Barraza singled to center field, Andrea Rendon walked, Alessandra Ronces walked, and Saddie Lynn Palacios singled , each scoring one run.
Alessandra started in the circle for Lady Vixens. The pitcher surrendered two hits and five runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one and walking two. Aubrey started in the circle for Dream Crushers. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and four runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out two and walking three. Zoey Ibarra appeared in relief for Lady Vixens.
Saddie Lynn led Lady Vixens with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Lady Vixens had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Olivia, Alessandra, and Andrea led the team with two bases on balls each.
Lady Vixens 10U will travel to Batting Divas for their next game on Thursday.
