While I admit there’s no such thing as perfect, my life feels as aligned, abundant, and full as it ever has.
I’m sitting here working through an assessment of July and I’m blown away.
“Blessed” seems to not quite capture it, but Lord knows, I certainly feel blessed and am thankful for Him and the many blessings He has given and bestowed upon me.
I have many people to thank. I won’t name them all here, but I know atop the list stands my wife.
I also won’t tell you all the reasons why, but I’ll tell you she is a perfect companion and life partner for me.
We work extraordinarily well together, we strive to be better and better partners for each other, and we have a life and family that we’re increasingly excited to build together.
It’s a good season of life. It’s not accidental or coincidental. It’s a combination of being blessed with much and doing the best I can with what I’ve been blessed with.
It’s faith.
It’s a relentless focus on health—spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally.
It’s family.
It’s surrounding myself with amazing people and striving to show up for them always.
It’s country and striving to show up with a level of discipline and service that exceeds the blessings it has afforded.
It’s living a life with purpose, on purpose, and by design.
It’s focusing on what I can control, doing the best I can with what I cannot, and asking God to continue to grant me the grace, wisdom and composure to know the difference.
It’s striving to always be better. Not in the name of beating myself up or being overly critical. But in the name of knowing we’ve been blessed with much, have infinite capacity to grow and become better, and desiring to work deeper and further into that every day.
I’m not perfect.
Life’s not perfect.
But I have a level of thanksgiving and trust that surpasses imperfections.
I love you guys. I want the best for you. I want the best for me. I want to best for us. And I’ll continue striving to create it.
