The coaching staff is dedicated to helping youth players understand and develop a passion for the game. Meet the coaches:
TJ Bardong
I grew up on Long Island, one of the hotbeds of Lacrosse. I decided to follow in the footsteps of my two older brothers and play alongside one of them at Hobart and its storied program. As a defenseman, I covered some of the top attackmen in the country. My senior
year I was selected captain and anchored the defense as we faced some of the top division one teams in the country. After graduating I took my competitiveness to Wall Street where I worked for 15 years. Looking for another challenge I left finance and have been a teacher for the last eight years. During my time in NYC I devoted my time to coaching at Doc's lacrosse program, the largest lacrosse program in NYC. During my years at Docs I was able to use my lacrosse knowledge and teacher skills to elevate teams and players. Now that myself, my wife and two daughters are settled into Larchmont my goal is to provide high level instruction to all players in town, especially players from beginners to intermediates. Luis Martinez
I grew up in Larchmont with a passion for Lacrosse. My early days on the field were as a defenseman, but over time my focus shifted to offense. I spent my time on the Mamaroneck High School team as an attackman, and I continued to play at the club level while attending NYU. After graduation, I became a police officer for the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department, and had the honor of representing the Department in the World Police and Fire Games as an attackman for the Hudson Valley Police and Fire Lacrosse Club. In addition to playing, I served as an assistant coach for the Sound Shore Lacrosse and Mamaroneck High School programs. To this day, I continue to push myself, training, and working on my game, and I still hold my childhood dream of sharing the field with the likes of Gary Gait, John Hess, and Mark Millon. Looking back, I realize how lucky I was to have started lacrosse at an early age. I had a great coach, who taught me solid fundamentals that went beyond stick skills. Things like good sportsmanship, hard work, and respect for the game resonate with me to this day. I'm looking forward to sharing my love for the game, and everything I have learned along the way, with anyone who wants to play Lacrosse.
