Coming this Fall….
Jennifer Bierbusse has a lifelong love and passion for the dance arts, with decades of experience as a dancer, performer, choreographer, and educator. She received 15 years of comprehensive dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and tap at Terri Newman's Dance Shoppe in Waterford, Michigan. During her years of training, Jennifer competed extensively at both the state and national levels, earning numerous awards for her performances and technical excellence.
As a young dancer, Jennifer was a member of the Lakes Area Civic Ballet Company, founded by Terri Newman. Her training also provided opportunities to perform internationally in Russia and Poland, while spending several summers training, performing, and competing across the United States—from Los Angeles to New York City. Jennifer continued to expand her dance education by studying at renowned studios including STEPS on Broadway in New York City and Edge Performing Arts Studio in Los Angeles.
Jennifer has shared her passion for dance through teaching and choreography, guest teaching and choreographing for middle school students at The Chatfield School, as well as middle and high school students at Oakwood Community Church and Lapeer Community Church. She has also performed at Robin Sullivan's Women's Christian Conference.
In addition to her dance career, Jennifer is a dedicated educator. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan-Flint and a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy. With nearly 25 years of teaching experience, Jennifer is passionate about connecting with young dancers, fostering confidence, creativity, and discipline, and helping students discover dance as a powerful avenue for self-expression.
Jennifer resides in Lapeer, Michigan, with her husband and their three children: Alexandra, a freshman at the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor; Trenton, a junior at Grand Valley State University; and Ellianna, a senior at Ferris State University.
