It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce the passing of one of the best geldings we have had in our program.
Today Cato left us after silently battling lymphoma over the last two months. For several weeks, we tried every outlet to try to set him up for success and we finally had to say goodbye.
Cato was the best confidence giver... the best boy who thrived on birthday jumps and birthday trail rides. He taught many riders in their "first"s..... first trot, first canter, first jumps, first horse shows, first jump courses. Cato did everything and anything we asked him to do (as long as it didn't involve birds).
If you knew Cato, you knew that he loved to bring smiles to faces. This goofy boy had the most handsome locks, a forlock worthy of its own zipcode, the biggest feet that he couldn't EVER pick up, the silly tongue, and the endless... ENDLESS scratch faces he made.
To everyone who made his final days more comfortable, I am forever grateful. He went with a belly full of treats, and a heart full of love. I am so thankful for the clients i have, the vet staff who did everything they could, and the literal BEST neighbors a girl could ask for.
The stall is empty, our hearts are sad, but Cato taught so many clients so many lessons and he will absolutely be remembered.
Gone wayyyy too soon. Much love for the big handsome man. Miss you lots Cater Tater... thank you for making this job so much fun and being the bestest big man there ever was. 🩵🩵
