American Martial Arts and Fitness Academy is no longer in business. I open this school in 1997. Started in my basement and had three different commercial spots. During that time I have had thousands of students. Was a part time Professor at Michigan State university teaching women's self-defense and was promoted multiple times in different martial arts. American Martial Arts and Fitness Academy in Lansing will be remembered for a long time as one of Lansings primer martial arts schools. 2018 will be a new beginning for me with a new start to a new school. Michigan Muay Thai Academy and kickboxing. Offering classes in Muay Thai kickboxing, French Savate kickboxing and JKD kickboxing. Also part of this new school is our Complete Grappling Systems offering classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo and JKD Grappling. American Martial Arts Academy will no longer exists after December 31st. But don't worry Professor Smith will be opening up a new school January 1st in OLD town. The new school will be called Michigan Muay Thai Academy. I will be teaching Muay Thai kickboxing, Savate kickboxing, women's self-defense to start with. Once we get our mats then we will add Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Judo / JKD Grappling. I will inform you of more details when they come.

Sad to say but American Martial Arts and Fitness Academy will no longer be in business after 20 years of serving the Lansing area. I will still be teaching all my classes at there regular times at the same location. I am just ended the name of my school. There is a new fitness instructor taking over my location, and I am very happy that he wanted to keep my classes going. I will be teaching without a school name for awhile until the new name comes out. So don't worry, you can still join and train here learning Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and women's self-defense classes.
