Francia tenía la oportunidad de cerrar el campeonato por equipos y consagrarse campeona del mundo. Camel Meriem se paró sobre la pelota con toda la presión del momento.

El putt no entró.

Del otro lado, Eslovaquia, en los pies de Michal Dian tenía una nueva oportunidad para mantener vivo el encuentro y esperar el desenlace de las demás modalidades.

Pero tampoco pudo convertir.

Y así, en un final cargado de tensión, Francia terminó asegurando el título y haciendo historia.

111 yards. Par 3. Hole 15 of the World Cup in 🇲🇽

It may not look intimidating on camera, but this hole demands absolute precision.

The challenge is simple: find the golf green. Miss slightly to the left and the ball can curl into a deep bunker, making par far from guaranteed. Players need to strike the ball with the inside of the foot, generating enough shape to hold the line while controlling the curve so it doesn’t drift into trouble.

Reaching the flag from the tee is virtually impossible. The real objective is to place the ball in the center of the green and leave yourself a makeable putt.

Then comes the hardest part: reading the speed. A football behaves very differently on a golf green, and judging pace can be one of the most difficult skills in FootGolf.

Hungarian youngster 🇭🇺 executes both shots perfectly. First, he finds the ideal position on the green. Then he delivers a flawless left-to-right putt with exactly the right pace.

The reward? An incredible birdie on the final day of the FootGolf World Cup in Acapulco.

On the 18th hole of the 5th FootGolf World Cup in Acapulco, Mexico, Florian Warsemann stood over this putt with history on the line.

After three playoff holes against Gonzalo Novosad 🇦🇷 , everything came down to this moment. Make it, and he would become the first French player ever crowned Overall FootGolf World Champion.

The celebration that followed captures the passion, pressure, and emotion that define this sport.

Pressure creates legends 🏆⚽⛳

Standing on Hole 17, tied with France’s Warsemann 🇫🇷 and fighting for the FootGolf World Championship, faced what was arguably the most difficult putt of the entire tournament.

A birdie attempt with a severe right-to-left break, an extremely challenging read, and absolutely no margin for error. He had to make it to keep his title hopes alive heading into the 18th hole.

And he did.

The ball dropped into the cup, sending a powerful message to his opponent and putting all the pressure on the Frenchman to respond and reach Hole 18 level.

An incredible display of composure, mental strength, and cold-blooded ex*****on from the Argentinian when it mattered most.

The level of FootGolf on display at the World Cup in has been nothing short of extraordinary. 🌎🔥

The final putt of World Champion 🏆⚽⛳

With this incredible finish on Hole 18 at the FootGolf World Cup in Acapulco, the slovak secured her second consecutive world title. After becoming World Champion in Orlando in 2023, she has now successfully defended her crown and, despite her young age, is already a two-time FootGolf World Champion.

The winning moment came after a masterful shot from the bunker that sealed the championship. And in a perfect display of sportsmanship and respect for the rules, once the celebrations were over, Lucia returned to rake the bunker to avoid any penalty, exactly as the rules require.

Congratulations Lucia!! 🏆🌎🇸🇰
