Folkstyle is growing within Michigan USA Wrestling.
As we head toward the 2027 season, Michigan USA Wrestling is continuing to expand our presence in folkstyle and create more opportunities for wrestlers, clubs and coaches across the state.
On Tuesday, September 1 at 7:30 PM, we’re hosting a virtual meeting to discuss new USA Wrestling folkstyle events and opportunities on the west and south sides of Michigan.
This is a relatively new direction for MUSAW, and we believe there is a real opportunity to grow folkstyle under the USA Wrestling umbrella while working alongside the organizations that have already built strong wrestling communities throughout Michigan.
Our goal is to add opportunities, not compete with existing MMWA and NEMWA territories.
If you’re a coach, club leader, tournament director or someone who wants to be part of where this goes, join us Tuesday night.
