Fall Mountain Girls Soccer Preview
Head Coach: Tim Goodwin
2025 Results: 9-6-3, Reached D3 Quarterfinals
Outlook: Fall Mountain lost some key players to graduation but features a strong returning group who will look to build on last season's quarterfinal appearance.

"Our returning core has a lot of game experience to bring to the field and help develop the new players," Fall Mountain Head Coach Tim Goodwin said.

Some key returning players for the Wildcats include Mia Aubin, Violet Colburn, Ari Colby, Ella Thomas, and Susie Tiebout.

Colburn earned a spot on the All-State honorable mention list for her strong play in goal last year. Aubin and Thomas anchor the defense, Tiebout returns to the wing, and co-leading scorer Ari Colby is back on the front line.

With a combination of new and returning talent, Head Coach Tim Goodwin is focused on bringing the team together and building on last season.

"[I want us] to work together to find our identity and work together as a team," Goodwin said. "We want to build on the system of play from last year."

Fall Mountain is scheduled to open the regular season on Friday at Mascoma at 4 p.m.

Fall Mountain Golf Preview
Head Coach: Jason Lintner
2025 Results: 11-15
Outlook: Fall Mountain will see some new courses and new opponents this season as they make the move from Division IV to Division III.

"I'm excited to see how we stack up to our fellow D3 competition," Fall Mountain Head Coach Jason Lintner said.

Fall Mountain returns senior Perry Lent who qualified for the state tournament last year as an individual. Lintner hopes Lent's teammates will be able to join him at states this time around by finishing in the top eight in the division.

"Our goal each year is certainly to make the tournament," Lintner said. "Anyone can win on that fateful day."

Other returning golfers for the Wildcats include senior Carson Bruzgis, junior James Cheeney, and sophomore Owen Nachajski. Fall Mountain also has four freshmen who round out the squad.

Fall Mountain begins its quest to qualify for the state tournament in its season opener on Wednesday at Bretwood Golf Course in Keene.

Fall Mountain Football Preview
Head Coach: Bryan Zeiner
2025 Results: 2-6, did not make playoffs
Outlook: Bryan Zeiner takes over a Fall Mountain program which makes the move back to Division IV this fall after competing in Division III the past few seasons.

Fall Mountain earned victories against Kearsarge and Sanborn last season and will look to expand on that number while competing against a new slate of opponents.

"Our goal this season is to lay the foundation of success," Zeiner said. "We will always work to be better than our opponent any given week. We strive for constant growth regardless of wins or losses."

Senior Paul Young (RB/LB) returns after earning a spot on the Division III All-State honorable mention list a season ago.

Some other players who are expected to be major contributors for the Wildcats this season include seniors Chase Adams (WR/DB), Keeghan White (TE/DL), and Alton Young (RB/LB), and junior Kitt Oberg (QB/DB).

Each of the aforementioned returning players and several others will be relied upon to play significant roles after the Wildcats graduated All-State players Garrett Asanowicz, Peter Oberg, Tanner Michaud, Josh Town, and Max Wyman.

With a new coach and players stepping into new roles, Fall Mountain is still developing its identity, but their approach on the defensive side of the ball is clear.

"We are building a team that will stop the run and force the pass," Zeiner said.

Fall Mountain kicks off the season by hosting Raymond on Friday, September 11 at 7 p.m.
