What a weekend. So much work done in the past 4 days to get this off of the ground and it seems to be a success. Huge shout out to our key sponsor KC Grilling Company along with Midwest Engravers who helped me finish the custom trophies and Little Bear Graphics for the logo and shirt designs. This was a first year event put together in less than 40 days. To say we put in some work is an understatement. We are looking forward to growing this to a much bigger event as well as possibly organizing other events as well. If there is ANYONE i forgot thank you in advance for all of your help.
I personally want to thank my parents Ted Moore and Tina for letting me throw this at their property in such short notice as well as dads long hours of baking for breakfast. I could not have done this and learned so much about organizing from Jon Smail and his wife Regi. Thank you to Donnie & Tracy Snider Rankin and Joe Igert for all of your help with the judges and overall help with setup and hard work. Huge thanks to our KCBS reps Kim and Mark Collier i learned so much from you guys this weekend and you made things very easy for me. To all of the judges thank you so much for showing up. We moved as much air as possible and you guys are the BEST to stick it out and show up for these teams. THANK YOU!!!!!
Now down to the teams. I want to personally thank ALL of the teams that came out here. This was started by an idea with Man Meat BBQ to throw this and here we are. We had 16 of the top 50 teams in the KCBS attend this competition who were ALL amazing. It is crazy how after an event like this we had to pick up ZERO trash or anything out of the field which says so much about this BBQ Family and the caliber of people that you all are. THANK YOU.

Randy Vanslyke High i Que BBQ for his killer 706.85 earning him the Grand Champion overall. Randy also was called 6th in chicken, 4th in ribs, 4th in pork and 2nd in brisket.
Greg Hastie Tebo Creek BBQ for a great showing with a 703.97 earning him the Reserve Grand Champion. Greg was also called 5th in Chicken, 2nd in ribs, 9th in pork and 4th in brisket.
Aaron Stoffer Man Meat BBQ came in with a 3rd place overall in this tough field. Aaron was called 1st in chicken, 6th in ribs, 16th in pork and 3rd in brisket.
