We had an amazing race at the BIG SKY 200 with . Both of our 4800 cars finished strong amongst a stacked field of racers with Matt placing third in class and Greg placing fourth in class. It was an amazing weekend with few issues- after racing for nearly five hours and covering almost 200 miles, we are absolutely thrilled to have taken the checkered flag twice. More recap to come soon. Huge thank you to and for being amazing codrivers and a huge thank you to for all of your help and support on race day!!!

Here’s an update on the team, all three cars included.
Madeline’s ZJ- front axle and suspension done, cage done, moving on to rear axle and suspension. Elusive headers for the 5.9L V8 have been procured. Plenty more updates to follow next weekend.

Matt’s 4800- Front axle shaft removed, awaiting parts for replacement. Shattered the axle in Havasu.

Greg’s 4800- Total overhaul is nearing completion. Entire car is now being rewired, full interior build to follow.

ULTRA4 just pushed the start of our season back two months so the cars are all ahead of schedule, with the exception of the ZJ which is coming along as planned.

Half of our race schedule dates got rearranged so a final **new** schedule for us is pending. We will be at Crandon and we will be at Crossbar Ranch, we are presently trying to determine the other U4 races we can commit to. We’re additionally contemplating Big Sky attendance in June with

Wasting no time on the ZJ! Soo we set out to solve two issues- one obviously being the cage BUT two being visibility. With the massive hood and dash structure, attaining good visibility on this car (with a small driver) required moving the seat UP! To do so, we elected on an EXO-hybrid style of cage that starts atop the body panels and terminates inside the car soon after the main driver compartment. While we’ve seen a bunch of folks build their cages inside of the cab compartment, we felt that the extra space from an exterior cage would give us sufficient room for safety and ergonomics. So here it is!

We’re full speed on Project ‘Bronco Destroyer’ and Madeline is busy building it!! There’s a ton of updates soon to come as we get this monster ‘98 5.9L Jeep Grand Cherokee built up for 4600 racing in 2024- stay posted!! West Series Ultra4 here we come.

Thought we were kidding? Nope!! Our new 5.9L Jeep ZJ ULTRA4 build has begun. It’s gonna be absurdly fast (for a Jeep) and freight-train heavy 😂. The little sister is racing this bad boy so hopefully she treats her racecar nicer than her brothers do 😂😆 Time to hurt some feelings .torney 🤘🤘

Without a doubt, lighting was the secret to our success in our race at Nationals in Lake Havasu, Arizona. We’re not pushy when it comes to products and recommendations but to say the least, Baja Designs lighting gave us the unprecedented advantage necessary to claw through the pack in this grueling 4 hour race. Under the cover of darkness but guided by BD SL, Squadron, and OnX6 lights, we picked off our competitors one by one. Even though we ran out of fuel 7 miles from the finish, we were sitting fifth out of 54 cars and 4th in class before our race prematurely expired. Race report coming soon but man, this was one hell of a race. Needless to say, we went out fighting till the very end.
