In order to offer backcountry ski products responsibly, we've partnered with NOLS and American Avalanche Association instructors to offer a Level 1 Avalanche Training so you may venture into avalanche terrain with the knowledge to identify hazardous terrain and have an enjoyable, safe outing in our beautiful backyard.

WHO: This class is geared toward skiers and splitboarders wanting to safely venture into the backcountry during the winter. Must be 16 or older.

DETAILS: Class session Friday morning, transitioning into gear check and initial beacon practice Friday afternoon. Saturday and Sunday, we will travel to Togwotee Pass for on-the-snow training.

Please make sure to come prepared to spend the entire day on the snow and bring your BC skis or splitboard to operate in the field. (Instructors will be happy to take questions about gear and proper layering before heading outside on day 2.)

With the forecasted snow in the mountains, we’re reminded this beautiful fall weather won’t stick around forever. Feel good and be ready to ride strong when Spring arrives.

Block 1 6-weeks - Dec 1 - Jan 15, 2026 (Christmas Week Off)

Block 2 6-weeks - Jan 19-Feb 27, 2026

Coaches and Class Times:

Mon 6:00-7:00 PM - Coach Chuck Schuster

Wednesday 8:00-9:00 AM - Coaches Mike Dicken & Ryan Towne

Thurs 6:00-7:00 PM - Coach Chuck Schuster

Format and equipment – Riders bring their own bikes to mount on provided trainers. Functional road, gravel, or mountain bikes are acceptable (Have your bike serviced if it is not fully operational). You will need a trainer quick-release rear skewer or axle, and we ask that you use a trainer-specific rear tire. (tires and axles are available for purchase here at the shop)

Spin Classes are hour-long sessions geared toward riders ready to apply their skills to a 40-minute interval session guided by the coach, plus warm-up and warm-down. The coach will make recommendations but ultimately, the difficulty is determined by the rider and how hard they want to push themselves during the intervals. All levels of riders are welcome in every class.

Bikes can be stored at GPS for the duration of the block for a $8 storage fee.

Wear cycling appropriate clothing (chamois shorts highly recommended). Bring a water bottle, headband and/or towel and a great attitude.

WE'RE HIRING!
Do you love outdoor recreation? Bikes? Skis?
Do you enjoy meeting new people?
Do you enjoy helping people get outfitted for a fun experience outside?

If you are, your job will be to assist customers. It’s a sales role but we’re after someone who can do more than just sell stuff. A trusted resource. Someone outgoing and capable of making real connections. Someone who can give visitors a good experience in the store, and set them up for an even better one the next time they get out to recreate. To help them find the right bike or their next set of skis, yes, but also to ensure they know how to transport, use, accessorize, and maintain their new equipment.

The perfect person for this role has:
An outgoing attitude of infectious enthusiasm
Strong communication & interpersonal skills
Outdoor recreation experience

Please bring in a resume and cover letter on why you think you’d be a good fit for our team.

We look forward to hearing from you!
