One of our store customers recently caught this true trophy Brook Trout that is likely to set the all tackle world record at a staggering 19.11 pounds. He was using a size 17/0 squirrel tail streamer when the trophy jumped all over it and after a 77 minute fight, the fish slid into the net for measurements and then was released back into the wild where it quickly went back to feeding on more small creatures and ducks. This fish was caught just outside of a small town in southern California and reports of huge Brook Trout like this in every pool were common with larger specimens said to have broken even the most stout rods the anglers brought. Wow, what a fish of dreams! Could you ever imagine this catch? Wow!!!! Southern Cali is now going to become the fishing destination of the year!
