Proud of these girls! We had some unexpected absences and scrambled to find players. We have been competing in u16 with this team this year (theyre already truly a u15 team)but the tournament combined the u16 and u18 age divisions. We were playing with mostly freshman, a couple sophomores and one 8th grader. Playing against some 17yr olds! AND THEY KILLED IT! They finished 2-2 at the tournament going into bracket play as the number 3 overall seed and the only teams they lost to were u18 teams.

It’s really cool for girls to play with eachother that don’t typically get to because of age/grade differences. We’ve put an emphasis over the last couple of years to develop those relationships with girls outside of their own grade. At the end of the day they will all hopefully end up as teammates at the highschool level. Shoutout to Michelle Spiess, Mindy Clancy and Sarah Remacle for joining us at this tournament! Keep working Ladies! Fall is right around the corner!!

Lander youth volleyball had an awesome weekend in Douglas at the Spring Spike! Our 12u team had their first tournament and only lost one set in pool play, winning five! They fell in the quarterfinals of bracket play.

Our 14u teams continue to kill it and have great success! One team got second in the gold bracket and the other won the silver bracket!

The 16u team did some great things too and took third in their pool play (only losing to one of the five teams in the pool!), and lost in the semifinals of the silver bracket in three sets!

We are excited for the future of volleyball in Lander and hope the touches these girls are getting in the spring pays dividends for them down the road for years to come!! Keep after it!!

We’re excited for another club season! We have younger teams this year than we did last year and we’re excited to get younger kids more touches! The 14u team had an awesome start to the season and won the silver bracket at their first tournament a couple of weeks ago! Next tournament in a little over a week in Douglas!
