The open has become a tradition bringing Marenisco families and friends together for a fun, semi-competitive golf event.

The 2025 Outing was another Great Day! The weather was perfect, Mike had Gateway in great form. We had 65 total golfers from young to seasoned golfers. 16 teams, 2 of which finished 5 under par. The Mahler team of Bruce, Kim, Erik, Cody, and a special putt made by Dominick solidified the win with a birdie on 9, pushing them in the top spot over the team of Bill Powell, Randy Charles, Deno, and Rich Burke who parred #9. Another year in the books, see you all next year on Friday, July 3rd!

Tee times are going to start at 8 am last tee time will be around 9:50. We'll get you going soon after arrival and registering. Everyone does not have to show up right at 8...We'll give you a scorecard with team number on it that will provide approximate time and hole going off.

We're going to try tee times on both 1 and 5 this year. I know this is Taboo but, the committee has done extensive research and ultimately we would like the last team to go off prior to the 6th team finishing so more people can congregate afterwards. Tee times will start at 8:00 and go to 9:30 on 1 & 5. Check with the registration table to find out where you're going. We'll hand out team numbers at registration. As you cross the highway, go get a beverage and take a bathroom break and to yield to the team (just 1 team) starting off. Except for the Myers team, they will go when ready, as they need to get in to finish the meal. This method should get all teams off the course by 11:15 as long as pace of play stays good. If we all went off 1, the last team would have just crossed the road at this time.

Confirmed pricing with Mike at the course, the Luncheon is again provided by Vicki. The cost will be $30 per player for non-members, Gateway members are $10. Pay at registration at the event or make it easier and pay via PayPal or [email protected]. Motor carts are separate, please pay the course directly, carts are first come first serve. We have 14 teams so there should be enough.

The 2024 Outing had 14 teams with 62 attendees. Winning score from the Mahler's at 32 (-4), with 5 teams coming in at 34 (-2). 2nd place was the McKenzie, Yatchak, Whitley, Keller team with countback tiebreaker of a birdie on 6. 3rd Place was the team of Powell, Hornburg, Jurakovich with a Birdie on 5. Overall combined we shot 499, 5 under par. 😊 Thanks again for coming out!

Thank you all for coming out for the 2024 outing! Taking the title home this year was the Mahler team separating themselves from the pack at 4 under par, 32. Everyone have a wonderful & safe 4th of July. We'll see you next year on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025!
