Garrard County High School is excited to welcome Coach Steve Nash as our new Head Girls Soccer Coach! ⚽🦁

Coach Nash joins GCHS with an impressive track record of success. During his four-year run at Madison Central (2021–2024), he led the Lady Indians to a 58-19-6 record, 3 district titles, 3 region title game appearances, and the program’s first-ever 11th Region Championship in 2023—earning 11th Region Coach of the Year honors.

He continued that success at West Jessamine, guiding the Colts to a 13-6-3 season, a district championship, and a 12th Region championship appearance.

Beyond high school play, Nash has coached at the club level in both Lexington and Louisville, leading the Lexington Sporting 07 Girls to a State Cup Final.

A proven leader and a true competitor, Coach Nash brings invaluable experience and a winning mindset to Garrard County.

2025 Commonwealth Conference Runner-up!

We lost to Model in PKs during the championship game Thursday night. Not the outcome we were hoping for, but we are so proud of this team! Their hard work and dedication to the program was evident in every game we played, and their positive attitudes and work ethic made them a joy to coach! We hope to continue to watch them grow as soccer players in the years to come and are excited to see what the future has in store for them! ⚽️❤️💛

We are Championship Game Bound! Our spot was secured with a 3-1 win over Madison Middle last night, making this the second team in school history to make it to the championship game! We will face Model in the Commonwealth Conference Tournament Finals tomorrow night at 5:30 PM! Come out and support! ⚽️❤️💛

So proud of this team! They won their first round match of the Commonwealth Conference Tournament Friday night with a 2-0 win over Farristown! Come out and support them tonight at 7:00 PM as they face Madison Middle in the Conference Semifinals! Go Lady Cougars!⚽️❤️💛
