Greetings Upward friends!

It’s been a while since you’ve heard from us at Hope Born in Christ Church (HBIC) and we wanted to check in with you all as we come toward the end of summer. We hope you’ve all had a wonderful summer full of sun and family time!

This fall, Grace Point Nazarene Church in Ephrata is hosting a Fall Upward Season. We know many of you missed our spring season this year and Grace Point has extended an invitation for you to join them this fall! Their season kicks off in just a few weeks and they would love for your family to join them! You can find out more information and register on their website at nazgp.org/upward!

Another exciting thing we wanted to make you all aware of is a week-long soccer camp that is in the works here at HBIC for next summer. We don’t have a lot of details as of yet but will be offering a morning program, Monday through Friday, one week during the summer months. Stay tuned for official details as we excited to see you all once again!

If you can’t wait until next summer to spend time with you, don’t worry! Our annual Summer Splash event is just a week away! As always, we’d love for you to join us at everyone’s favorite end-of-the-summer event on Saturday, August 24th. We’ll be having a picnic lunch at noon followed by an outdoor worship service at 1:30. The big event starts at 3:00pm when the fire company arrives to hose down the giant slip ‘n slide! Please join us for part or all of the days’ events!

My daughter's team has yet to win a game...or score a goal. This weekend, they felt discouraged after their first game. But they rallied during the second game and played better than ever! That's what this league is all about. It's not always about the score at the end of the game. It's about effort, improvement, and building character. That's my Upward Proud moment this season.
