We started off a little rough tonight with a loss. We got the bats out during the 2nd game and ended up with a big win! We're still in this, ladies! We have to fight hard tomorrow night to make it to the final game! CRUSH!!

Lady Crush had a scrimmage tonight and guess what... We had all 12 players there for the first time in the 2014 season!!! This group is so fun. We love you ladies!!!

So tonight we as a team learned a few things. We have to play as a team, stay up beat, and just play ball. I learned not to take my foot off the gas.
As a coach, you hate to see players struggle. But if you don't leave them in, they will never learn. Keep your heads up ladies, we as coaches are throwing a lot of things at you, not to confuse you, but to make you better. Remember, it's just a game, you just need to keep playing! GO LADY CRUSH!

At the end of last year I didn't think I would be coaching another year of rec ball. More the half the team leaving to participate it school ball and travel. Our lives hectic with school ball, 2 in travel ball and one in a baseball league across the county. Then I watched 4 of my girls sign up this winter like they always have, putting us down as coach. So we have 5 returners, and 7 new players to Lady Crush. After the first few practices, I wasn't sure what I had on my hands. Tonight we played a our first games, a double header.
The first game we were down 3 going into the bottom of the inning with no time remaining. Something clicked. The girls gelled, scoring five runs to win it 7-5. They carried over that momentum into the second game, winning 11-1. Never in my wildest dreams did I thing I would take the youngest team into the High School division and win our first 2, but we did.
We are so very proud of this team and the effort they gave tonight. Way to go Lady Crush!

This is a little bit delayed, but Coach Dawn and Coach AJ want to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to all of the girls who made their school's softball team!! We are so proud of you all!! If you get a chance, get your schedules to us. We'd love to see you in action!
