I looked for some pictures but not finding any from January 2016. This would have been the weekend for New Jersey State Champioships in Newark NJ. 10 years ago, we held the meet in the midst of a blizzard that arrived Friday night. We had enough lifters for a Saturday session and everyone scheduled to lift on Sunday showed up, even some from Saturday.
Those who flew in were stuck till Tuesday.

Although I miss seeing you all in January, I do not miss the stress of watching the weather, digging out the truck and trailer, and hauling the equipment in the snow.

This weekends storm is huge, we wish all the lifters in its path safety and warmth.

From all of us here at RPS, enjoy the holiday, remember the fond memories, be a good person, pet all rescue animals, and lift the heavy weights.

If you're looking for something to do today, volunteer at an Animal Rescue, take a Doggo for a walk, sing a random Christmas Carol (we recommend Christopher Lee's Heavy Metal Christmas album).

But most of all, enjoy the day with those you Love. Even if it's a Bar with Iron plates on.
