Eastern Screech Owls come in three recognizable color morphs: gray, red, and brown. These different color morphs do interbreed, so it is completely normal to see more than one color morph in the same nest. Their color is genetically determined at birth and does not change with age or s*x.

Found my first 2 Spicebush Swallowtail caterpillars of the year. These little ones better get used to seeing my face 🤣.

I've always wanted to raise caterpillars/butterflies, but I don't think I have the patience. Do you raise them, or know anyone who does? I know a lot of people enjoy raising monarchs.
