The Garrard Girls Golf team will start open practice / conditioning on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month beginning January 13th at 3:45pm. Practice will be at the golf simulator located just left of the high school football concession stand. New players and experienced are welcome from 5th grade and up. Students must have a current physical on file with the school or bring a copy with them before practice. For questions email Coach Sam Travis at [email protected]

Our Lady Lions made a great showing with difficult weather, long delays and having to make the trip a second day to complete the tournament. They have all made significant progress in their games this year and can be very proud of their season. They finished with 12 top three finishes this season as a team. Way to go ladies!!

The Garrard Girls home match at Peninsula on August 25th had six different schools present for a great night of golf. Our Girls Golf team placed 2nd. In individual standings Abigail Travis took 2nd, and Kylee Kobernick took 7th place.

The team played at Danville Country Club Aug 27th and captured another team 2nd place. With Abigail Travis placing 3rd, and Kylee Kobernick 6th.
Finally on September 2nd the Garrard Girls Golf team won 1st place at Brightleaf. In individual rankings Abigail Travis placed 1st, Kylee Kobernick 5th and Katie Sharp in 7th.

Our Garrard Girls Golf team has been busy!
Our team won 2nd place at our August 19th match with Boyle, DCA, and Mercer at Brightleaf Golf Resort. With Abigail Travis taking 2nd in individual results.
Our August 21st match at Dix River with Lincoln and Casey had Abigail Travis in 1st place, Adriana Hubbard 9th and Katie Sharp 10th in individual results.

Last night we were able to celebrate our seniors.
Our first senior Abby Fathergill daughter of Chris and Joy Fathergill has been on the golf team for 2 years. Has held various State, region and local FBLA offices. She also completed Governor’s Scholar this past summer. Abby plans on attending the University of Kentucky to become a Dentist.

Our second Senior Abigail Travis daughter of Sam and Karen Travis has been on the golf team for 6 years. She is president of student council, vice president of FBLA, and a member of the student advisory council. Abigail also completed the Governor’s Scholar program this summer. Abigail plans to attend a university pursuing an Architecture related degree.
Congratulations to both of these ladies on their many accomplishments!

Garrard’s home match at Peninsula Golf Resort on August 12th was another success with the team taking 3rd place. Three top 3 finishes in a row for the team. Abigail Travis secured 1st place with a 45, and Kylee Kobernick in a tie for 7th place.

Our Garrard Girls golf team continues to improve. Their August 6th match they placed 2nd as a team, with Abigail Travis in 2nd, Kylee Kobernick 3rd and Katie Sharp in 9th.
At Bright Leaf Golf resort on the 11th the team took 3rd place with Abigail Travis in 2nd again, and Kylee Kobernick taking 6th place.

The Garrard Girls Golf team has kicked off the season with their first 9 hole match! Kylee Kobernick rocked it out with a 47 and was in a three way tie for 2nd place! The rest of our girls did great as well!
