🛑 Super TNT Newsletter:
👉Embrace Summer with a Positive Mindset!
➡️Summer is a time for fun, relaxation, and enjoying the great outdoors.
☝️But sometimes, the pressure to look a certain way or achieve certain goals can create a negative mindset🫣.

👉I want to help you focus on the positive and truly embrace the joys of summer💯.
➡️Avoiding a Negative Mindset as It’s easy to get caught up in self-criticism and comparison, especially during swimsuit season.

👉Here are some ways to avoid falling into a negative mindset and make the most of your summer:
👊Focus on What You Can Control:
💥Instead of worrying about things you can’t change, focus on what you can.

💥Set realistic goals and celebrate your progress, no matter how small.

💥Positive Attitude: Cultivate a positive attitude by surrounding yourself with positive influences. Spend time with people who uplift and support you.

💥Create a Fun Summer Playlist: Music has a powerful effect on our mood. Create a playlist of your favorite upbeat songs that make you want to move and dance. Let the music lift your spirits and keep you motivated.

✅ Bonus Tips for a Positive Summer Experience
💥Share Time with Family and Friends: Spend quality time with loved ones.
👉Social connections are vital for our mental health and can help keep negative thoughts at bay.

💥Go Outdoors: Nature has a calming effect on our minds.
👉Spend time outdoors, whether it’s a walk in the park, a hike, or a day at the beach. Soak up the sun and fresh air.

💥Plan a Mini Vacation or Getaway:
👉A change of scenery can do wonders for your mindset.
👉Plan a short trip or a weekend getaway to relax and recharge.

💥Drink More Water:
👉Staying hydrated is essential, especially in the summer heat.
👉Drinking enough water helps you feel better physically and mentally.

💥Gratitude Walks:
👉If it’s not too hot, take a gratitude walk. Reflect on the things you’re thankful for as you walk.
👉This practice can shift your focus from negative thoughts to positive ones.

💥Try a New Class:
👉Break out of your routine and try something new.
👉Whether it’s a fitness class, a cooking class, or a dance class, learning something new can be invigorating and boost your confidence.

💥Focus on the Experience:
👉Remember that summer is short.
👉Focus on the experiences and memories you’re creating rather than on how you look. Enjoy each moment to the fullest.
👊Add your Bonus Summer Fun to the list and send it to me!

🛑 Super Transformation Tuesday!!!

∆Today I want to Celebrate Cheryl Tague as she celebrated her 2 years anniversary!!!!

=> Here is a few things that are inspiring on my mind , please feel free to add if she had inspired you as well, and if you see a huge transformation as I see her please let her know!!! (*We are hard on ourselves and well I'm the Coach so of course it's not that believable 😂, but judge for yourself!!!)

*When I first meet Cheryl 2 Years Ago!!! (*Wow times Fly when you are having a Blast!!!)

**To say that going from the door to the bench i should say about 10 feet was like a workout would be as accurate as it can be...
=> Normally that would be enough for people to never come back to training with us...But Thankfully (*As we are blessed to have her training with us) She had taking a Decision to become a fitter person and was Determined to keep going no matter what!!!

==> I remember our first Fitness break through just a few months of training and she was already moving like 90% better, so I challenge her to work on the floor get ups!!! (*Asking a person that has fallen several times to start working on the Get Ups it's as a Big Ask as it can be!!!)
✓ But Cheryl beign Cheryl decided to trust the process and go ahead and start working hard!!!
✓✓ After a few days of hard training she was able to get up and down if she could hold on to the bench...
✓✓✓ Next She decided to take it to the next level and did the get up on the middle of the floor without any bench!!! *I remember the first time it took her about 3 mins (**I'm sure it was a long 3 mins for her ) as we all stopped and start cheering her accomplishment (***One thing I love about UFL is the Immensely Support we have for each other!!!) To say that I was proud and inspired is an understatement.
✓✓✓✓ Next thing I know in the following days she could get up / down in less than 30 secs!!!
Wow just imagine from not able to get down to play with kids/ grandkids in over many years to get up and down on the middle of the floor in 30 secs or less is just Amazing.
✓✓✓✓ I remember that she keep it as a surprise and then for Christmas present boom she showed the whole family at a Xmas gathering. (*I wish I could see her family reaction)

===> Now 2 years later Cheryl still inspire me and the rest of UFL as she now Squats with the Barbell, do dumbbell chest press on the Swiss ball, it's able to do 2 x Round of 8 mins without stopping of ropes slams + boxing, and keep just getting younger and Leaner with the time.

∆Thank you for Your Hard Work, Dedication, Commitment, trusting the process, it's not been easy but surely it's been an Amazing and we are just Starting!!! The best is yet to Come!! I can't wait to see what's next!!! Happy 2 years anniversary!!!

****24 Months Snapshot***

🛑 Super Wow Mindset!!!
A few Great Reminders & Lessons from My Mentor Pat R.

#1)*Success isn’t about perfectly executing a plan.
=> It’s about persevering when things don’t go as planned.

✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓
#2) *Results follow great work.
=>Do the work that makes you fulfilled & proud.
==> The results you want…they are a product of that great work.

✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓
#3)*Being challenged in life is inevitable.
=> Doing what it takes to win is optional.

✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓
#4) *Everyone who wins big starts small.
✓A first workout.
✓A first page.
✓A first step.
✓A first client.
✓A first practice.
=>No one is great on day one…but they started.
✓And they persevered & improved.
✓✓So if you want something bigger or better, start small.

✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓
#5) *Don’t get caught up in what others have.
"Comparison is a killer" .
=> Focus on doing your best with what you have where you are.
✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓✓
Bonus:
=>Get clear on what you want.
✓Clarity creates simplicity & focus.
✓Simplicity & focus make daily action easier.

==> Action produces momentum.
✓Momentum means more action…and ultimately results.

===>If you want to succeed, it starts with getting clear about what success is to you.

Super TNT Newsletter!!!

=> It's True You can’t change your circumstances... But you CAN change how you respond to them.

-> You see, if we can resist the urge to feel bound by our circumstances … and focus on what we can control instead … it can be a game-changer.

*Plus, there’s this: Circumstances only have the meaning that we assign to them.

=> If we believe that a busy schedule at work means that we don’t have time to work out or meal prep, then guess what we’re going to do less of? *Yup … working out and prepping our meals.

-> If we believe that we “can’t work out or eat healthy while on vacation,” then guess what’s NOT going to happen? You got it … working out and eating healthy while on vacation.

=> And what’s going to be the result? Slowed progress or no progress, low energy, and disappointment.

-> Our brain has a funny way of confirming our beliefs... It's very literal and accepts the input as a truth.

=> So if you ever find yourself starting a sentence with:

-> “I don’t have time …” stop yourself immediately and get to the root cause of that belief... And remember that you have the power to change it.

=> A great example of this is a client who always used to come to me after vacation feeling ashamed that she didn’t exercise or eat supportively while she was away.

-> Naturally … she gained weight, lost strength, and just flat-out didn’t feel well when she came back.

~> Her initial response was to go on a “diet” and start doing “two-a-days” at the gym.

*The only problem was, she’s not a professional Athlete/ Fitness Coach… she’s a working mom with a stressful job and two kids.

-> So what do you think happened when she added even MORE stress from extreme calorie restriction and overdoing it with training?

~> You guessed it … fatigue, low energy, and burnout.

-> We’ve talked about this over the years, and I’m proud and happy to report that she’s going on vacation for the next 6 days. And this time, before she left she made sure to check with me so she could find the travel workouts and past Zoom/live Facebook recordings.

=> “I want to make sure I do a little something, instead of doing nothing the whole time,” she said.

Bravo!!!!

- That’s exactly how successful people behave.

- Some exercise is better than none.

- Eating better (but not perfect) is far more beneficial than binge-eating and then punishing yourself with starvation and doubling the workouts when you get home.

- Control your circumstances. Don’t let them control you.

~> Lo has adivinado... fatiga, poca energía y agotamiento.

=>Beware... It’s A Trap...
->Losing 20 pounds in 6 weeks was/Still is probably the most famous fitness promotion of all time.

It worked … to a point.

Did people lose 20 pounds – or more – in just 6 weeks?

Yup … they sure did.

But in many cases, one of the following – or both – happened:

The 20 pounds came back
Injuries

==> You see, losing weight with an extreme exercise regimen and/or a starvation diet can and will melt off the pounds in a pretty short amount of time. But since these activities aren’t sustainable, the weight tends to come right back.

Also, these types of programs are focused on one thing: weight loss. And more than that, they’re focused on a specific amount of weight loss in a specific amount of time.
What they’re not focused on is injury prevention and joint health, which is what people should want as they get older.

===> Wouldn’t a program that taught you how to exercise and eat sustainably – while building a strong foundation of bone density and joint health – be something you’d want?

-> I hope so … because that’s the key to long-term success … and the very fact that you’re reading this newsletter means that you’re smarter than the average bear.

^ Something to think about as you decide what kind of fitness program is right for you.

The quick fix? Or the long game?

I know what I’d choose … 100% of the time.

=> My Top 5 Rules for Amazing Results...

-> Today I wanted to share a few things I’ve learned from the clients who’ve had the most success in my fitness program.

They’re all different people from different backgrounds, with different professions, and different family dynamics.

But they all seem to follow the same 5 Rules:

#1)=> Slow Progress > Fast Failure:

*So many of us want to go so fast.

**Recognizing that progress happens slowly and consistently over time is one of the most important concepts you can embrace.

#2)==> Enjoy The Process:
*Sure, it’s important to have goals and periodically evaluate your progress and reassess.

**But it’s better to stay in the moment. Enjoy today’s workout and the people you’re doing it with. Get the most out of the exercise you’re doing now … instead of impatiently looking forward to the next thing. (*Be on the Gain vs. the Gap)

***A consistent process yields progress without having to obsess about results.

#3)===> Don’t Compare:
*So, the woman working out next to you who outweighs you by 40 pounds just 1.5x your deadlift? Of course she did … and so what? You’re here for you, and to derive positive energy from others … not to compare yourself to them.

**We’re all different. Embrace it.

#4)====> Embrace Setbacks:
*There will be bad days. Things will go wrong. You will get into a rut.

**Remember that these setbacks need to happen for you to achieve your next level of success.

#5)=====> Be Grateful:

*I’ve learned that gratitude is one of the most important emotions we can experience.

**Be grateful for what you have that you want.

***Be grateful for what you have that you don’t prefer. And be grateful for what’s to come.

Given that it’s halfway through September, there are only 3 1/2 months left in 2023. I’d like to propose that you focus on one or two of the above rules each month through the end of the year. If you’re just OK at following these 5 rules consistently, you’ll be ready for a massive breakthrough with your fitness – and your life.

🛑 Super Tuesday Newsletter!!! (*Nutrition)

=> FAQ: One of the questions I get most often is, “Can protein shakes help me lose weight?”

-> The answer is … it depends... It depends on what your goal is.

A bodybuilder, for example, might manipulate her protein intake to pile on more muscle mass and keep overall calories in check to minimize stored body fat.
A 50-year-old dad who sits at a desk all day might have a protein shake after his evening strength workout … and then have a protein-containing dinner 2 hours later to build and preserve lean muscle mass.

==>The more lean muscle we have, the more effectively we can burn fat … especially as we age.
..But there are a few things about protein intake that research has shown when it comes to weight loss:

~> Decreases hunger and appetite:

*By triggering the release of fullness hormones, protein can help you avoid the urge to reach for unhealthy snacks between meals

~> Supports a healthy metabolism:

*According to this study, two groups were placed on a calorie-restricted diet … one high-protein, and one low-protein. After 6 weeks, the high-protein group gained 2.9 more pounds of muscle and lost 2.4 more pounds of fat than the low-protein group.

~> Supports fat loss … especially around your midsection:

*In a 12-week study, women with normal weight but high body fat followed either a high- or standard-protein diet. Those on the high-protein diet lost 3 pounds of body fat and 1 inch in waist circumference.

~> Minimize regain after weight loss:

*A recent review suggests that you can minimize weight regain by following a high-protein diet in the first 3–12 months after losing weight.

So … do protein shakes help you lose weight? Well … yes and no.

*Getting adequate protein intake each day has been shown to support healthy weight loss … especially around the belly … and minimize weight regain after a period of weight loss.

**Including a liquid protein in your diet is an effective way to maximize your protein intake and double down on the muscle-building switch in your body.

---> As with anything else, it depends on your goals … and how you execute your plan.

🛑 Super Monday Newsletter
=> My [fill in the blank] Hurts... When a new client comes to me and asks why her shoulders hurt, I immediately begin exploring her upper back strength.

-> Almost always, I can tell right away where she is weak … and why her shoulders hurt.

*Stronger muscles are compensating for weaker ones that aren’t doing their job.

--> It’s the same process when a guy comes to me with lower back pain.

*I go right to the exercises that require strength and activation of the core, glutes, and hamstrings.

**Almost all the time, one or more of those areas is weak, thus leading to back pain.

==> The shame of it is, that many of these people have concluded that lifting weights is off-limits for them due to the pain they’re experiencing.

-> Some of them may have even been told by a doctor – who has probably never lifted weights – that lifting weights is a bad idea... When in actuality, the opposite is true. (*Don't you need to squat to go to the bathroom or to get in/out of your car?/ Don't you push the cart and then pick up the bags at the store, don't you pull the leash on your dog (*big dog)?

"The best way to get out of pain is to get stronger … and do it strategically, with the help of a knowledgeable coach who understands which muscles to target first.

Lifting weights doesn’t cause pain... Being weak causes pain.

So when in doubt, get stronger my friend. "

=> Everyone seems to be looking for the “next big thing” when it comes to losing fat.

~> The next trick, tip, or hack that will cause the fat cells to melt away.

==> I’ve got news for you …

You won’t find this “next big thing” at the supplement store.
You won’t find it at the cardio party boot camp.
You won’t find it on the exercise bike or treadmill.

===> That’s because the only fat-burning secret that works is the oldest one in the books.

-> It’s also the simplest: "Strength training".

Just lift weights, My Friends :-) *Focus on Becoming Stronger every day {*As my friend says: I just want to be Harder to kill (*Sickness/illness/ Stress)}
If you want a sturdy, durable, pain-free, and lean body, then following a well-designed strength training program with progressive overload in mind is the best way to get there.

--> What’s progressive overload? (*I'm glad you ask)

~> It just means that you can’t make progress by lifting the same weights for the same number of sets and reps in perpetuity... To make progress, it’s necessary to vary the stimulus. (*Challenge yourself!) (**Push your comfort zone on a safe environment)

We can do this by adding more weight …
Increasing range of motion …
Adding tempo and pauses …
Or even adding band resistance to your lifts.

---> How you do all of that is up to you and your coach (and hopefully, you have a coach … because you’ll get better results a lot faster if you do).

~> But there’s one rule that will always hold true...

"The endless treadmill or ellipticals or stairs master, the fun dances cardio classes, and just walking, are the road to nowhere when it comes to having a strong, lean, durable body that’s resistant to aches and pains ...Just lift weights".

=> We all do better with a coach... Even coaches... That’s right … I’m a coach … and I have a coach, too... Several of them, actually.

==> You see, I’d like to think that I’ve always been a good trainer and nutrition coach.

*But not long after turning that passion for helping people into a business, I realized that … to put it bluntly … I wasn’t very good at business... So I hired the best fitness business coach on the planet, and he and his team have made it possible for me to do what I love and help more people.

===> Had I not sought out that help and support, I probably wouldn’t be sitting here writing this newsletter that you’re reading.

*And that would be bad … because that would mean I would no longer be doing something I love to do, which was helping me and a lot of other people, just because I was too stubborn to ask for help.

----> The same logic applies to fitness. Here are my top 5 reasons to have a fitness coach:

=> Goal-Setting:
*If you don’t know your destination, it’s going to be pretty difficult to reach it.

=> Accountability:
*You’ll be amazed how your behavior changes for the better when you have someone checking up on you and making sure you’re sticking with your plan.

=> Reassurance:
*Things will go wrong. There will be bad days. Having someone to “pick you up” and keep you moving forward is key.

=> Efficiency:
*Who has time to waste standing around a normal gym with no plan while waiting for equipment they don’t know how to use to become available? Not you. Not having a coach is a huge waste of time.

=> Results:
*Simply put, having a plan – and someone to help you execute it correctly and hold you accountable to it – is going to improve your results.
