Save the Date: 2026 Escrime d'Halloween October 24-25 in Twinsburg Ohio. Details to follow!

Calling artists: We are always looking for tournament art. It needs to be Halloween themed, Fencing related and 'tell a story'.

Artwork will be used for medals, event wear, event promotion, event signage and anything else related to the tournament.

We will pay you $75 plus an event hoodie if we use your artwork. (No need to do any event lettering. We will take care of that.)

Submitted artwork becomes property of Cyrano's Place/Escrime d'Halloween. This is a great portfolio builder for some up and coming artist!

And, that's a wrap for the Motor City RYC/RJCC: 12 Women's Saber 3rd Ella taking out 'Lupe so she would finish 5th with Emma finishing 6th. These Girls Rock!

Declan came into his own today at the Motor City RYC/RJCC finishing 3rd in Y12 Men's Epee. He was 1st out of his pool seeding 4th overall. He pulled off some tight DEs before losing in the quarter finals. Great growth and learning!

He was joined by the Y14 Women's Saberist, Elle and Emma for some team shenanigans.

Tomorrow the two E's will be joined by 'Lupe in Y12 Women's Saber.

Congrats to Coach Sara Kass for placing 3rd in th 60-69 Veteran Women's Foil at the Richmond NAC. This puts her in contention for the Vet World Team this fall!

Exciting time at the 2026 Ohio HS State Championships.

1st Men's Foil - Nigel, 7th Shane who was knocked out by Nigel, 8th Kai who earns his E26!!! (His hard work is paying off!)

2nd place Men's Saber - Shane, 7th Jonah who was knocked out by Shane.

(Shane and Kai represented Rocky River HS)

It was a good day to fence!

July 10-12, 2026

Learn from 2000 USA Men’s Saber Olympic team member, 2016 Men’s Saber Olympic team and Columbia University saber coach good biomechanics of basics saber skills to complex game strategies. 6-two and a half hour training sessions with two-hour breaks to eat and/or free fence.

Schedule Friday 6-8:30, Saturday 9-11:30, 1:30-4:00,6-8:30. Sunday 9-11:30, 1:30-4:00.

Space is LIMITED! First come, first served!

Prerequisite: Fencing age 12 or over. Must have 1 year of competition experience. Meals catering option tba.

Shout out to Shane for winning the Men's Saber at the 2026 Rocky River HS Invitational, earning his E26! He was able to 'de-throned' Grant Benham who has been able to win ALL this season's prior HS Men's Saber events. Shane was joined in the finals by Kai.

In addition Shane was 2nd and Kai 3rd in the Men's Foil. These top results helped Rocky River win the Men's Team cup.
