Charisma School of Dance "Where an aspiring performer can build a strong foundation and realize dreams." Hi. Thank you so much for dropping by for a visit. Participation is optional.

Allow us to introduce ourselves. Just like most academic schools, this dance school has our main September through June classes which culminate in a fabulous recital. During July and August we have our summer school with all sorts of technique classes that really push the dancers and help move them to the next level in time for September. Anyone studying ballet during the summer is assured a spot

in our December production of our Nutcracker Sweet and Sassy. Our classes are for all ages, three to one hundred and three! Hip hop dance is very popular at Charisma and we have three performing groups that perform out in the community. We also have tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, belly dance, and theater arts groups that share their talents with the public. These dancers are called “company” dancers. They also compete at in-state competitions and go out of state once a year for a national competition. Those that participate in just the recital and Nutcracker are called “recreational” dancers. Once they become interested in performing more, recreational dancers can audition and become company dancers. We teach all levels from beginner through professionals. Our students also have an active social life at Charisma. We participate in the Steilacoom Fourth of July Parade and then have a pot-luck back at the studio. We have a non-profit fund-raising parents group that arranges many money-making events in which the students participate and enjoy a great sense of camaraderie. We celebrate holidays with food and fun. Our students are continually including each other in parties and the teachers sometimes show up, too. We have fun, along with learning from some of the best teachers around. So, we thank you for your interest. Come join us and dance to your heart’s delight, make new friends, and join our world where dreams can become realities!
