Chief Master Kevin Kaminski will be visiting our Region on Saturday, November 21 to teach two black belt weapon forms, long range JB and ssahng knat. This six hour day is a unique experience to train with one of the best right here in Lakewood. Go to this link to get registered. Space is limited please consider joining us.

Congratulations Mr. Evans.

Congratulations to our newest 5th Degree Black Belt, Mr. Sumner Evans. Mr. Evans retested on August 7, 2026 at our Denver Gold Rush and has just received his rank. Congratulations.

Mr. Evans was also elevated today as "Head Instructor" of ATA Martial Arts Lakewood. In this new role, he will work closely with Chief Master Black to develop the curriculum of our students at ATA Lakewood. Mr. Evans is 28 years old and started as a white belt at age 8. He originally started his training at the original Ken Caryl ATA Martial Arts under the direction of Master Steve Lucero and Master Ken Lucero. Mr. Evans has been a student of Chief Master Black for the last several years and is one of our most active certified instructors in Lakewood.
