As a reminder, in accordance with the County Public Health Order, all Lakewood parks continue to be closed to any group recreational activity or gatherings, including on Easter Sunday.

While Easter is a traditional time for families to get together, it is essential that people stay home to reduce the risk of community spread of the coronavirus.

All Lakewood playgrounds are closed and gathering in the park is prohibited. Traditional Easter weekend activities, such as Easter egg hunts and family celebrations of any size are off-limits at all public parks.

After reviewing the newest guidance provided by county and state health officials to protect public health and slow the transmission of the coronavirus, the City of Lakewood is canceling or postponing city events and recreation classes effective Friday, March 13 through at least the end of March.

Therefore, the Earth Walk at Monte Verde Park scheduled for Saturday, March 14 has been canceled.
