For anyone interested in seeing some of what goes on behind the scenes at the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship, here's your chance.

In 2025, a team from The Rowing Network was on-site and documented the entire regatta—from early-morning setup to the final moments of tear-down. They pieced together a short film that tells the story of how the event all comes together.

Speaking of ... thank you to all of our parents who volunteer at this and other regattas, plus meetings, practices, transportation, fundraisers, etc.

A successful day of racing for the Eagles at the Laddie Cup in Michigan. Here's a list of the medals St. Edward crews earned:

Gold - Men's 2nd Varsity 8+
Gold - Men's Junior 4+
Gold - Men's Junior 8+
Gold & Silver - Men's 3rd Varsity 8+
Silver - 1st Varsity 8+
Silver - Men's Varsity 2-
Silver - Men's Frosh/Novice 8+
Silver & Bronze - Men's 2nd Varsity 4+

With all this, plus additional points earned from non-medaling crews, the Eagles earned the Men's Sweep points trophy!

Next Saturday and Sunday the team will be back in Milford, Michigan for the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championship. More details on that to come!

Tomorrow the Eagles will be racing in Michigan at The Laddie Cup. We'll have a busy day of racing, with 18 entries in 11 events -- Men's 1st Varsity 8+, Men's 2nd Varsity 8+, Men's 3rd Varsity 8+, Men's Novice 4+, Men's Varsity 4x, Men's Junior 4+, Men's Varsity 2-, Men's Frosh/Novice 8+, Men's 2nd Varsity 4+, Men's 1st Varsity 4+, and Men's Junior 8+.

We'll be heading to the Huron River Sprints at Milford, Michigan's Kensington Metropark this Saturday (April 18).

Today we start the 2026 spring season off with a slightly unorthodox venture, by crashing Fire on the Cuyahoga -- a scrimmage vs. Case Western Reserve University, The Ohio State University, and The Pennsylvania State University.

Home base for the regatta will be at Zaclon River Landing (https://maps.app.goo.gl/nMPX3bPjbapRfNBF7) and racing will occur on the Cuyahoga River between Marathon Bend and the Turning Basin.

The current plan is to have racing run from 9:00am until 1:00pm. This should be a fun one. Stop on by if you can!
